In our entry, we present the 'Gamebook', a piece of ancient scripture / technology that hasn't left the shelf in over twenty years.

This piece is known as the 'Lightbringer', Book 1 in the Legend of Zol series.
It's the beginning of a Gamebook epic similar in style to Lone Wolf, another series popular during the 90s.

We hope you will enjoy this piece, and maybe be wowed by the *AMAZING* art and writing.

Cool game with nice art and music! Would be cool if the adventures at first option (30 and 2) would've intertvened later on in the game.

Is there any ending that ends happily without me dying nor being called a coward? I couldn't find any other kind of ending at least.

Laughed out loud a few times, loved it. And it looks great too - even if the ring stain stressed me out. Love that you added in sounds for poking the things on the desk too haha.
Great job!

The game is really funny I literally had a smile on my lips for the whole time playing. The art is the best I have seen so far this LudumDare and just the overall feel is great. A lot of choices which I liked and everytime I died I did so in a funny way at least. Could imagine the game to be successful as a mobile game with more content and maybe selling it for a dollar.

I used to love the choose your own adventure goosebump books so this was like a breath of fresh air. I also quite enjoyed the humor and found myself laughing quite a bit. Good job!

Great art style and cool concept. Like it's a simple mechanic that you've made work really well. Loved everything but the music - got a bit repetitive.

PS My adventure does not sux :( But I went back and did another one because of that ending screen haha!

Unfortunately I cannot run your 64 bit executable on my 32 bit system.
Still, the .exe seems to be the game and not an installer. I complement you for creating a single .exe file that is downloaded directly when clicking on the link. This is how it should be.

Thank you for making this game, I really enjoyed it. For a second I thought that decisions on one route affect choices on another, but you stayed true to gamebook mechanic.

I loved it and I love these adventure books! Awesome experience, I don't really get what's happening when unlocking the phone though? The art is beautiful and the music fits the book perfectly.

I fixed the bugs in my entry if you are interested to check it out.

Such a great entry, always loved the old lone wolf series so was a nice reminder to play this. Really nice writing and art and the quick play through and restart meant I could keep trying to see the different endings. Has made me want to pull out my old pick a path books.

Loved it.

So many little touches, so many drawings, and so many funny things...

I feel like I should have made a book game like this too, and therefore you must be my doppelganger... "THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!"

Well, and I won the adventure. At least, on (one of) the "win" path you can still get a fun adventure with that note.

Very clean and neat presentation, and fitting music. I got flashbacks to reading these books when I was young(er), and this was no less evil. Had me laughing :)

Would be cool to see a longer story, hope you guys continue the series!
