This Is Your World Too by Akurn
A farming rougelike*.
Built with HTML5 Canvas 2D.
Made and tested for desktop Chrome and iPad homescreen Web App.
(But most modern browsers should work, and the only limitation of smart phones is the size).
Keyboard controls:
Left arrow / A - Move left
Right arrow / D - Move right
Up / W - Select previous menu item
Down / S - Select next menu item
Spacebar - Select / Action
Touch controls:
Hold swipe left to move left
Hold swipe right to move right
Tap on menu items to select
Tap on screen centre to do an action
Hint: planting the same seed on top of another will increase plant growth success
* I seem to have my definitions confused ><, always assumed rougelike was a dungeon game but specifically where if you die, your descendants share some of your statistics/characteristics. Turns out it just means generated dungeons. But take my definition for what this game is!
UPDATE: Anyone experiencing flickering issue on a large monitor, just resize the width of your browser window. Once you have more crop fields it should work fine wider.

just fix the bug that let me plant seed in the earth and waste the seed XD
Walking back and forth got tedious, but harvesting crops was fun the first couple times.
Great sounds and mood.
@akios you can't actually plant on non-soil ground, if you plant and lose a seed, it actually will improve the chances of that seed growing into a successful crop :) Sorry didn't get time to implement displaying the seedling stats.
@DJWizardCop yep, tedious is the idea, which is why I was going to add tractor's to move faster and auto harvest etc, again just time limitations, wanted to polish the core mechanic before extras :)
And so easy to understand and grasp.
This could be big.
Amazin work!
Great job. Thanks for the game!
When you get 1xp (to me) is a bit confusing seeing "+xp". I would prefer to state directly you get 1 xp "+1xp" maybe?
When you have no crop to sell, the button to sell it is enabled, shouldn't it be disabled?
It would be great to have some way of knowing when the crops are ready so you don't have to walk all the way to check it out.
The graphics are cool, though. Nice work!
The interface is really efficient.
I also liked the work you did on characters graphics, it gives some impression of diversity, that's nice.
Very intuitive control and very polished. Especially the different looks of the farmers over generations.
The tools would be helpful, because once you have 4 plots, there is too much time walking around.
Also, it's a shame your graphics are blurry, I'm sure there is an easy way to fix that
@Cosrnos
Almost, it's about what you define as a "world". In practice, everyone's world is really their own perception of it, whether you consider it the planet you're on, or the important aspects of your life.
The farmer's "world" starts of as just his farm, then his world incorporates his child, and then eventually his world is focused solely on that child. This is reflected through the gameplay, where your tasks start off as just planting and harvesting, then eventually it's focused on what you want your child to be skilled in when it's his/her turn to take over the farm.
The "connected" aspect lies within the persistence of the "world", where for a moment, the child and parent both share a common world, i.e. are connected, until it eventually gets handed over to be their own world and no longer their parent's.
@Pierrec What browser are you using? Since the graphics are using actual pixel sized assets, a Canvas property is used to prevent anti-aliasing when upscaling. This property may not be supported yet in all browsers, causing the images to be anti-aliased (blurry), as I only tested in Chrome and mobile Safari.
Again thanks everyone for playing :D
