No-Face Man by brackeen

[raw]
made by brackeen for LD31 (COMPO)
Procedurally-generated Pac-Man maze, based on the size of your screen.

* Pretty much the game you already know.
* Random maze generation. This was super-fun to work on.
* Resize your browser to get a different-sized maze.
* Featuring No-Face. Because of reasons.

Undocumented features:
* At the start of the game (while your score is 0), you can press space again to regenerate the maze.
* Extra lives every 10,000 points

Tools:
* Written in C using GLFM (an OpenGL layer I wrote) and Emscripten (which is amazing).
* Except for the title, all graphics were done as strings in a .h header file.
* Also builds on iOS. Probably builds on Android, but I haven't tried it.

Wishlist that I didn't get to:
* Audio, duh
* Fruits
* Interstitials
* Optimizations

He has a face, it is just rather unsettling. Actually, all of the faces are pretty unsettling.

Like the random generation an the ability to re-size it. The controls do make it a bit hard to turn some corners and go some though.

Really great graphics, nice procedural generation. My only complaint is that collisions are a little unclear.

I'm going to agree that sometimes I pressed up and got no response. And while I like this procedurally generated Pac-Man, I got a few dead ends (which is really bad for a Pac-Man-like). Nice work though.

That's pretty nifty! The coolest part is resizing your browser to change the difficulty. The way the collisions work just isn't set up for pac man, but it's pretty fun anyway.

This was a nice variation of pac-man. Good job. :)

I stretched the window across both of my monitors, and instantly wished I had a 2x2 monitor setup...
I did play a few levels where the distribution of proton pills was rather uneven, having a large amount all clustered together, and only a couple in 'remote' locations...

Very cool how it just generates its own map, I like that. Nice spin-off of Pac-Man. With music it'd just be even more cool

I had fun with this! The generated levels are nice and I liked the haunted masks that hunted me. I enjoyed the procedural levels created over larger displays.

Love it! But, controls are a little too absolute in terms of speed, etc. Very diff to make quick turns so took a couple tries on some paths that required quick turns.

very creative pacman version, love the way the level adapts to the browser screensize, it fits the theme pretty well

This is hard, at least i had a hard time collecting all the dots. Like the part about resizing the browser.

A good twist on a classic! I got a score of 47610. It is pretty fun. It is a bit difficult to make some turns without speeding past them though. Still, very fun, well done!

amazingly my first pac man clone - really nice job here - some of the corners were a bit tricky
