Press Space by Meedoc

[raw]
made by Meedoc for LD31 (JAM)
I wanted to make a game about main menu and this historical "Press Start".

So here is the game, you have to press, following instruction on the screen and try to get the best possible score!
If a Press text disappears, the game is over!

My current high score is 73, can you beat it?

The game has been done with Unity in 6h. I initially wanted to join the compo but the music isn't from me.

P.S.: my website is currently down, moved the game on itchio.

Nice idea....Kind of spooky, subliminal messages?

Interesting game. I got 63 as result. I wonder, do you draw the keys by random, or do you try to get something good/bad for some common keyboard layout? (both qwerty vs dvorak et al, but also different hardware setups like kinesis contoured, typematrix etc.)

I liked it, but my keyboard only accepts so many button presses at a time!

42 points at first try. Because it is an ultimate answer to life, universe and everything, I won't try to get a better score. Nice concept and cool audio!

I like the entry feeling. I wondered "press space... yeah and so what ?". The surprise is interesting, and the mix with misc sentences is cool. Personnally I would have placed it on a grid which would allow the eye to stick on some places, and then recognize it quickly. Still interesting and minimalistic for 6h of making !

Really liked this one - my first score was 90, then I couldn't beat that on a few more attempts. It gets tricky! Love how visceral you've made it feel when the text elements are destroyed.

Pretty crazy cool game for just pressing keys....looks like I need to learn where the keys are on the keyboard...couldn't get anything higher than 46 :(

Reading the comments, I feel really proud: I reached 115^^
By the way, this is an excellent game. I feel like I'm playing music or dancing in my head with my fingers and hands, thinking to nothing, just doing.
