A Day At the Arcade by sudorossy

[raw]
made by sudorossy for LD31 (JAM)
A Day At the arcade.

Basically an open area, with a pong arcade machine you can play on.

More arcade machines will be added into new builds, but here's what I managed in the jam time.

@@ I'm sorry, I was playing two games at the same time and the first comment was for the other game!

Your game does work, but I can't control the pong machine =p.

I would suggest playing a bit more with the theme idea, and pondering all the meanings of the words before starting your game. Don't get locked on the direct theme meaning!

Good luck :)

Really interesting concept rossy, would be cool if you continue it after LD :)

It would be old school arcade playground?
I think it will be great after you finished it.

Nice concept - playing a game in a game, looks good as well. My only problem is that you can lock camera in such a way, that is really difficult to see anything...

I like the idea here, and I think if could be really interesting to see where you can go with this. It might be worth looking into pre-electronic arcade machines too, there's some interesting things you can do there!

Looks very nice, but it's basically a half-baked pong or am I missing something?

I was promised a pong machine, but I only got a ping machine.

I really like the idea of exploring arcade cabinets and playing them like they are there. I hope you build a few more.

I noticed the ball got a bit buggy at times and few off at random speeds on occasions, but still well built.

Really nice game, this is a good concept you got here. The gameplay is basic, but I love what you have done here. This is what im looking for in a LD!

It's pong, what can I say. The recreation was cool, and I like how it's called ping. Could be cool if you had all of the old classics.

A game in a game. Loved it more if there were more games to play, but nice concept.
