Santa’s Warehouse by Maxxim

[raw]
made by Maxxim for LD31 (COMPO)
Help Santa to deliver as many christmas gifts as possible.

Pick up a box and put it on to the matching color on the sled. You can shelve it if doesn’t match.

Be fast the sleds have to depart on time. If 3 sleds depart incomplete the game is over.

NOTE: Put the boxes in the right order on the sled, starting with the right slot.

Have Fun!

This game is pretty interesting, but the controls are a little unresponsive and the actual mechanics of it aren't very deep or compelling. Great job on this polished product, however!

hmmmm I can't put green box on green grid. Maybe I'm on the naughty list.

Since this is a task management, you could use some indication of chaining actions (seemed possible to do it). and either place more storage or regulate the random to keep the colors more likely to be used soon. Went out of storage space :/

Despite that, lots of potential in this game, maybe you should work it a bit longer and publish it :D

I wasn't able to put the boxes on the sled. Seemed like it would have been fun though :/

Fun and addictive game, although clicking sound can get little annoying.

It took me a while to realize that you can only click to move to the sleds and the presents. Clicking seems to be unresponsive for a bit after moving and sometimes the presents don't get dropped off.

Cool task management concept, graphics were nice, clicking audio can get a bit repetitive. Id like to see this as a polished post-LD game.

Good idea, but the there were a couple small but critical issues. The mouse was unresponsive so I would often end up clicking twice somewhere which would cause my character to pick up a box and promptly drop it again. Also, I ended up in impossible to beat situations frequently. For instance, one round (before I managed to send any sleds away) I needed a yellow box for all the available sleds, and every available slot I had was full of blue or red. This meant I couldn't possibly get a yellow box to continue. Some mechanism to assure these situations don't arise would be very beneficial.

Took me a while to understand the mechanics properly but it's quite a fun little game. Great work!

Great Idea, took me a while to understand it. Most of the problems came with the controls, when double clicking or similar especially. Great game!

this was a good entry but at one point I could not put any more presents in storage and none of the sleds had presents i could put on. But until i reached that problem it was it was all good beforehand
