Bombpopper by ixron

made by ixron for LD31 (JAM)
My first try at Ludum Dare game jam. The game is called Bombpopper. The player is challenged with defending a small city from an attack of bombs. Clicking on the bombs will save the buildings. The game is over when all the buildings are destroyed.

I can't stop destroying bombs until 100... Simple and addictive xD

Simple and effective, altough gets a little boring after 50 bombs. Graphics, sound, and font seem really consistent which is nice. Maybe I was unlucky but there were never as much bombs as there were on the screenshot (would've been cool). Could maybe have gotten a bit more love on the GUI (a start screen, maybe a restart button at the end).

Simple but very fun and easy to play :)

Decent fun. There is a slight delay on the bomb blowing up it seems and it's quite annoying. Other than that you did a nice job.

It was cool like for a casual mobile game. You would need some variety to flesh it out though. There was indeed a delay on the bombs destruction, and it didn't feel like it ever got increasingly difficult, though maybe I need more time for that.

Also, contrary to the comment below, the graphics didn't feel consistent to me, mainly the building stood out as a different style with big blocky pixels.

I like it, and I think the bomb graphic is pretty cool. However, the click detection seems a little off - sometimes I have to click multiple times.

Nice and simple. Does lack the depth to keep playing but still good game!

i got pretty far in this one. It was tough, and fun, but could use a couple more gameplay elements to keep things fresh. Addicting!

A great first game! Enjoyable and intuitive, but I feel that a custom mouse cursor would help (because it's hard to tell exactly what you are clicking on due to input lag). Great job!

Neat idea, would love to see some more depth as it progresses!

Simple, solid gameplay. It just gets a bit boring after a while.

Like missile command with the difficulty ramped to 11. Great entry.

My mom was complaining why I was cursing so much and clicking so hard. Alot of fun, but sometimes it looked like the bombs went through the buildings and didn't do any damage. Goodjob though!

It would be nice if the destruction of the buildings was dependent on where the bomb hit, but you have some nice little touches in here, such as the way that the bombs glow on the way down.

Greetings from destroyed Gumiland :D

I discovered that I can hold down the mouse button and just hover over the bomb to destroy it. Haxors!

Simple, addictive and with charm. Could be more challenging, but good work :)
