Got to the end :)
Took me a little wile to figure out what exactly the mechanic was, but as soon as I realised the rest came pretty easily.

I made it to the end! That's a super-fun game, congratulations! And the mechanic is new, which not an easy thing to do for a platformer! I also really liked the graphics.

Doesn't really fit the theme, but a good looking game with an interesting twist.

great graphics, but space didn't seem to do much except flash the screen for me.. :(

Okay the game worked this time, and I loved it. It was way too short!

The graphics are awesome! And you could make some great puzzles with this mechanic.

p.s. For the people who don't get it:
Spacebar locks your camera in it's place ;)

Couldn't get past a jump as it was too high and space didn't do anything. Really nice graphics and character animation though

Very interesting game mechanics!
By the way, is the robot inspired by Rinon in Ano Natsu de Matteru (Waiting in the Summer)? LOL

When you introduce this kind of new mechanic, which is really smart, it's very important that you make sure that the player wont get stuck. For me, there where too much objects in the way for me to stick of any way the mechanic could work. Also, when I actually tried it first, there was a wall that unknowingly blocked me. Also, sometimes the game lagged you around when using the mechanic which was quite confusing. Apart from that, amazing work!

Thanks for all the comments guys, that's really motivating :)
I'm sorry for the people who don't get the mechanic of the game at level 2. I don't want to spoil it though, so you just need to think a little bit outside the box (literally :) )
Also sorry for the people who cannot play it because of performance bugs, this is my first game zith a home made engine so this is not ideal, I will put effort into improving that in my future games. I think playing it on chrome highly improves the experience though.

@DonovanWu I never heard of this anime so I guess not, the design is strongly inspired by BMO from Adventure Time.

@johnbrynte The idea of level 2 was to put the player in a situtation that he cannot overcome without using the mechanic. I thought that the written hint would be enough for all the players to understand how to resolve the problem, but apparently not. Despite the bugs that you mention, that surely does not help, do you have any idea on how to hint the player in a somehow smarter way ?

Love the aesthetics. This is a great take on puzzle platformers. The title screen is a throwback to Day of the Tentacle for me :D

Fun game with cute art. The core gimmick is innovative and fun and i see how it was inspired by the theme, but in the end doesn't fit "Entire Game on One Screen" too well. It's also quite glitchy and can cause the character to get stuck off screen or wildly teleport all over the screen at times. Overall a great entry in the 48-hour compo.
