Snowmans Base by Silveryard

[raw]
made by Silveryard for LD31 (COMPO)
Your´re an Anti-Snowman agent and you made it into the headquarter of Big-Boss-Snowman. Take as much Information as you can (in form of briefcases) and avoid the patroling Snowmans. Every time you take one case another patrol will spawn

Controls:
GamePad:
- left stick: move
- right stick: rotate

Keyboard
- wsad: move
- left and right arrow keys rotate

This was clearly not my theme but I´m proud to have at least a playable game after less than 24 hours. I hope you enjoy it

I'm not sure this is the final version of your game here :
- I could not find a briefcase in the level
- I met th snowman but there's no collision with him. So no gameover conditions.

Not much fun in this game, feedbacks are there but could be greatly improved, moves feels like you are moving a tank, no challenge.
That said, congrats for having something playable, the exerice is difficult !
Thanks for the game =)

Moving around your flashlight is really uncomfortable and takes too much time. Maybe rotating it using mouse or Monako-like field-of-view would be better? After I grabbed few cases I got much trouble in looking for another one, mainly because of slow rotation. Also there was bug, that guard didn't really want to notice me even though I was running in front of him. Anyway, congratulation on finishing this game and good luck! :)

Ok, it's not bad, light effect work good and control are ok. I don't die or nothing when is pass over SnowMan and they don't even try to catch me. But it's a good job in only 24h !

Simple, but nice! Excellent raytracing. Uh...how many cases are there? Wait, is it an endless game where every time you get a case another one spawns? It's not really clear. Anyway, what I would like is something that always shows where "you" are in the world, so the player doesn't lose track; a blue dot or something would be enough. Also, it's kind of slow and tedious to move your light around, I would personally speed up the rotation so you can look around faster. Good work, though!
