The 31st Dealer by Snowdrama
Jake is a gambler, a big one, but he's always had tons of luck, one day his luck changed, and he won a Mansion in a game of high stakes poker. Upon visiting the Mansion he finds himself locked in by a mysterious force, sitting inside is a flashlight and a note "The only way out, is hidden within these walls" and on the back "You'll need this" with a picture of a flashlight.
After inspecting the flashlight, clearly a children's toy. He began wandering around the halls. He noticed 3 tables, a Blue, Red and Green table, similarly he noticed the Flashlight could change color to Green Red and Blue. He changed the color to blue and pointed the flashlight across the room. He was about to look somewhere else, when something sitting on the table caught his eye that he swore he hadn't seen before. Another note from the psychopath this one read: "Now you may be getting the hang of it, Find the pages and they will tell you how to find the Keys!" it finally donned on him, the only way to escape was to play his game. Flashlight in hand he headed deeper into the house.
Controls:
WASD/ArrowKeys: Move Player
Mouse: Aim Flashlight
Mouse-Wheel: Change Color
Thanks for Playing! I apologize in advance for how short the game actually is. I got a lot of questions on my last LD so im going to answer some of them:
*There is no sounds... If you'd like play any kind of ambient haunted house sounds in the background Haha
*I know there is no context of the story in the game, I didn't have time to record the monologues or do the intro or anything.
*Most of the game was rushed in the last 2 hours, state transitions, the whole ending state, and a good chunk of gameplay.
Hints to how the game works:
*Try Using the Flashlight on things
*There are 3 Pages to get before you can find the keys.

@maxyan Thanks! The lighting was something I wanted to really work on. In a fuller version the game would be much bigger and have much harder puzzles.
@Snuux What bugs? I'd love to fix them for the Post Compo version
@asobitech: yeah I didn't have enough time to do the in game narrative, which would have explained most of how to play.
@HoboMechanistic: Thanks! The transition was actually harder then I thought it was going to be, managing the state of the collision was difficult because of how Box2D works, removing a collision object from the level is... not easy. Technically I don't even remove them, I just make them sensors meaning the player can walk right through.
Final thoughts: Thanks everyone who played and voted, definitely not my best work according to the final score... I'll take it as a learning experience. My big thing is that I didn't take the easy way out and make like... a Tetris or Bejeweled clone with some gimmick, I tried to do something interesting and I just didn't have time for the level of polish I wanted.
