neven by igoramendola
The objective is to catch the snowflakes with snowman rightful by color.
Use arrows < and > to move the snowman.
Use 1, 2, 3 and 4 to change the focused snowman.
Or use the alternative controls:
A and D to move. U, I, O and P to change focus.
(Use S to disable/enable sounds)

Made with:
Flash (AS3) - code and graphics
as3sfxr - sounds
Bosca Ceoil - music
--------------------------------
* 13h30min LEFT: I would like to work more on sounds and music, but I need some sleep. It's 6:30am and I have some family commitments in at 9am. And I'm not sure if I'll be back on time to make these changes. That's why I'm submitting now.
(-.-) zzzzz
** 0h45min LEFT: I just got home and I added the keyboard number at the top of each inactive snowman during the game. But I think I won't have enough time to polish more details.
*** I changed the name of the game ('infineve' to 'neven') because I realised that the previous name didn't sound good in Spanish - and I live in Mexico.
**** I've fixed the bug mentioned by @local minimum. According the rules, that kind of bug can be fixed after the deadline. The cause was a variable that I forgot to reset when the game is over.
***** POST-COMPO version: I'll improve the randomness of the snowflakes to prevent two consecutive colors are on opposite sides, and other stuff.

Nice game.
Things I would consider:
It felt like the random progression of flakes was a bit too random and hence evil. At least for being so early on in the game. What I mean is that if felt like it could happen that there came two flakes of the same color to close in time but distant in space that they'd be impossible to collect. That's not good, it's important to keep the illusion of that it's the player's fault. So I'd put some restriction on that.
I would consider starting with three snowmen or even two and introduce the others as the player progresses.
I think I got a bug, because when replaying some snowmen wanted to run to the right without me pushing that button and they continued until I pushed right.
Then finally, to make this game as addictive as it could be, I think it needs a catchy tune.
I think this was a really great entry, so hope you take these comments the right way. And I think you could make it work with touch controls *wink* *wink* (tap to select and swipe to move).
But then I died and realised I'm supposed to play all the snowmen, haha. I like the simple but still intriguing interpretation of the theme. Good fun, neat graphics and gives a nice challenge. Gets hard when your snowman is on the other side of the map. :S
I'm glad that you liked and I'm considering your feedback to the post-compo version.

Lovely graphics and animation! I like it!
@mrexcessive thank you for your comment ^_^ I preferred put in the top instead of their body because I felt that on the top was easier to identify when they are close between them.
Great job!
