Veggie Kerfuffle by Vermonde

[raw]
made by Vermonde for LD31 (JAM)
Veggie Kerfuffle is a battle arena where players score points by being pursued by the monster on the center of the arena.
Players can attack the monster or other players to stun then for a brief period of time, trying either to get the aggro from the monster (and score more points) or to block and disrupt other players, turning them into monster lunch!

The last one standing, or the player with more points wins the round.

##Controls

PLAYER 1: ARROWS + M
PLAYER 2: WASD + Q
PLAYER3: JOYPAD – LEFT ANALOG STICK + L1
PLAYER4: JOYPAD – RIGHT ANALOG STICK +R1

##Instructions:

You can pluck items with your action Key.
The first one to hit the monster will wake him up (you need at least 2 players for that!).
You can throw seeds on other players to stun them for a brief period.
If you hit the monster, he’ll be stunned too, but he’ll aggro you after that.
Last man fruit standing wins the round!

Once I actually understood gameplay it was pretty adorable! The weak point here is the music, which is pretty amateurish. Graphics were cute, though.

I didn't really get the gameplay, also "B", "M" and "Q" didn't seem to do anything?

i liked the animation! i wasn't totally sure what was going on, but it seemed like there need to be multiple players for it to make sense.

I would flesh out the music just a bit.

Cute game, I like the animations but it was a bit hard to figure out things but once you do there's some potential fun.

An interesting idea, though it doesn't seem very prudent to attack the monster. (Though I wasn't able to test it with multiple people, so perhaps I'm incorrect in saying that.) I would recommend that you give some incentive to attacking the monster, such as points, or some other bonus.

Nice art, unclear how to get the game proper started
