Frank's New Job by SinistraGames
Controls:
Movement: Arrow-keys or "WASD"
Interact: "Space"
You're Frank, and you've just gotten yourself a new job. Now all your new co-workers needs your help! Good luck with that.
This is a twist on an adventure game. and we went on about the theme of "Entire game on one screen" by having the game always take place inside of the same office space. And you can clearly (hopefully) get the feel of the theme!
We had plans for adding a lot more "gamey" events to the game (as well as tons of more humor, being our main focus). So you would have more win/fail scenarios. There was just not enough time for us!
We built all art from scratch. We didn't use any unity store assets or anything. The only thing that we used that we didn't create ourselves are some royalty free music from the well-known Kevin Macleod!
Which could be found here: http://incompetech.com
(Thank you for the awesome music, Kevin!)
This project was developed by two people!
We were both planning the game together, and we had lots of fun along the way. But, wow. What a ride it has been!
Jannick Lian: Main programmer, some art design, pasta-maker
Aleksander Royson Nilsen: Main art designer, pasta-maker
Tools of the trade:
Programming: Unity3D (2D)
Art : Paint.NET, GIMP
Sound: Audacity
Known bugs unfixed because of the time frame:
- Sometimes you glitch when exiting a door. Exiting again works fine
- Follow the exclamation points! We didn't manage to make it so that you can't go into the room you're not supposed to
- There's no restart button at the end.

If you're making this into a full game, branching conversations might be a nice addition.
Great art, great story and great idea
Anyway, the game is awesome. Really.
