Crappy 3D Model House by InfiniteSoftCoal
This is our team's first project involving Blender and Unity, so the models are very bad. However, it was a great learning experience for our team, and helped me as the programmer personally forward my knowledge of C#.
So, the bottom left is a minimap, and the bottom right is the object you have to find, you have 30 seconds to find that object. The first picture of an object is exposed after 60 seconds, then you have 30 to find it. There are some bugs, like the fact that you can find an object before you're allowed to, and that you can't refind an object you've found. However, that's partly because I, the programmer am lazy and sleepy, and my knowledge of Unity and C# is limited.
Also, the red brick texture is minimap thing. Like, that's the only way I knew to make the minimap work. So here is a bad 3d model somewhat buggy game. Enjoy and rate fairly and make sure to give constructive criticism or advice for our team who is just starting out as developers (obviously not 3d modelers, next LD is going to be a 2d game from us).
PS: Use escape to unlock the mouse cursor
How we implemented the theme:
So, we didn't know any other way to make a 1 screen game that fitted what we wanted to do, so we put it on "one screen" which is a TV screen.
The game was made using Unity Pro, C#, and Javascript, and the only pro specific feature being Render Texture

BUT
Same thing happened on my first, well, 3 or so entries. Don't get discouraged :) Practice makes perfect.. and keep coding (and modeling, and drawing, and audioing!)
There's an incredible amount of content, for a jam. But unnecessary really.
Maybe you should have done more little house and work more on other things?
About the gameplay:
Movement of the player feels weird. Like if he's slipping.
Too bad the programming of the "find the object thing" doesnt work really
The trick to fit the theme is a bit easy, too, I think.
See you with better skills at next game jams I hope! :)
Never get discouraged! Game jams are hards! :P
The controls were slide-y and felt really frustrating to use. Maybe increase the dampening and acceleration so that it feels more responsive.
Graphically the z-fighting was a bit distracting and the text through the walls actually made it kinda fun to play (since I could see that the target was on the level and then I could use the minimap to find my way there)
It wasn't very clear what the point of the game was when started, eventually I found the first thing and the text went from not found to found and it pinged! So good user feedback on that front!
Nice game! Keep on game makin'!
