Dodgy Screen by Mixer
This is dodgy screen, a platformer where you can only show red green or blue at once, because the screen is broken.
Guide your character through the puzzle, picking up orbs to travel through lasers.
Enjoy :)
Controls: Image 4;
Tip: Show red objects with J (or R) and go to the top left hand side on the platform, to be able to walk through the laser. Try and work out the rest :D

Fixing for PC
Also, the screen is very small and sometimes I can't understand what to do.
But cool, yeah!
Wandersenus: I don't know if you are a cheater, a spammer, or someone who uses another language, but please leave constructive comments. I have seen you on various games, and if you are legit I am sorry, but otherwise it is a very dodgy game you are playing here. Good luck though :) I hope I am not mistaken.
Lolwned: Hmm yes, the controls need to be refined. Thanks for your comment! :)
Keep the comments coming guys!
zanenga, Yeah, it is hard to make progress with the slightly confusing controls and concept, but thanks for the feedback!
mrExcessive: Thanks! I am not sure what you mean, but check you are not blocked by anything (X) and also remember you can go super high if you tripple jump! Thanks for the comment! |:D
Omer: It most surely wasn't meant to be buggy :) The sticking to walls was a bug that I did mean to fix, but didn't have time to. Thanks for playing!
My feeling is that the blind play required by this was at odds with the slight soupiness in the controls. The way the camera moved meant I didn't really know where on the screen stuff was, and I didn't have a feel for my own kinematics due to the inertia. The double-jump was juuust wonky enough that I couldn't quite plan out in advance what I was going to do. So rolled together I would leap and then feel lost. Sorry! You were so close!
Platformer controls are tough to get just right for the specific game - I put a bit too much inertia on my own game as well, and regret it.
Fortunately in your game I could play a bit further once I gave up and used the X key. Before that my tactic was to just spam jkljkljkljkl, etc. The battery probably was a weak point in the design because I could always just hit T and reset it, so it wasn't a meaningful limitation for me.
Love that you went after such a tough concept, bold try and good jamming!
I haven't been able to read them all rescently because I don't have access to a computer (on an iPad now)
In regards to all of your friendly comments:
Thanks! The wonky physics and controls definitely need work, I think the main reason I messed this up was because in the past, with c++ and sf l, physics is just speedx*= 0.4 every frame, where with unity, you have all these crazy settings that are not really ideal for platformers.
The camera control was definitely dodgy, I think I liked the smoothness when I put the script on the camera, but looking back it really would have been more suitable to just parent the camera to the player.
I like your idea of making it so you don't have to hold down the colour key, you just tap it. Maybe I could continue work on my game and fix this! :)
Joshua: Press T! :)
Throstle: this means a lot, thanks.
Thank you everyone, as a 13 year old developer, it really means a lot to see all these kind words :D
