A fairly basic Super Crate Box clone with some heavy Unity Pro rendering effects.

My artist and I had opposite sleep schedules, so only about 9 hours was put into this game before we just gave up.

WASD+Space+Mouse to play.

Very fluid movement and nice graphics, good job in the little time you've spent on it.

Next time please add a button to quit the native version of the game :)

Game looks great, and really liked the whole audio. Not sure if my non-ability to shoot the yellow things is my fault, for being left handed... (mouse didn't seem to do anything)
Game looks fricking fantastic though. :)

Aha, this is actually quite like our game, just more streamlined. It was our first shot at making a game with no prior experience, so if you could come over and check it out I'd appreciate it!

Overall very well done. A lot of fun to play.

I see you put time into the visual style. The audio is... meh, but the gameplay is pretty smooth if not a tad repetitive (no ramping of difficulty or anything). Overall... eh, pretty good I suppose.

A reasonable clone of SCB, but the infinite ammo and central choke point is game-breaking. Nice lighting effects, and the music is pleasant.

Cool for 9 hours. Unfortunately the postprocessing messes up my mouse positioning, and it wouldn't register that I was shooting (apparently it only works in the web version, which is laggier than the download one?

Hey Trent, this is awesome and I'm glad you added the fullscreen button because it is so much better fullscreen. I was pretty close to making a super box clone but this one is probably way better than I would've done. Has nice juiciness to it. Only glitches I had were with pick ups and the bullets wouldn't travel as far but would still do damage. It would also help if I had a better indicator to when I was hit by the enemies but other then that its still really cool especially for just 9 hours.

Great game in terms of style and mod, but the gameplay lacks that charm.. It tried to be different from Super crate box but still wasn't as fun to play.
Still the game is visually a treat!

It felt almost like playing the original Mario Bros. :-)

I like retro post effects, but this game was actually more fun when I disabled it.

Nice TV effect display which is a cool take on the theme.
The gameplay is great and graphics are nicely polished.

Good Game with cool graphics, and solid gameplay, but not very innovative and just too easy. With fast weapon you can stand in a corner and just shoot upwards. It would be more fun if every weapon had a limited ammo and player would be forced to collect other weapons.
I liked the bow, it was just as bad as LASER in Contra and it was actually nice to have a weapon in that you don't want to collect.
Overall fun game!

Graphics are cool but the gameplay is very stale. As far as I can tell there is no reason not to just stand in a corner and shoot forward once you've picked up a weapon? Something like limited ammo or coins to pick up would help.

Really liked the graphical effects, and general game. Only problem I found was once I had the shuriken I could just keep myself in one spot and basically kill forever. Good entry though, well done. :)

Fun game. How'd you do the curved screen effect? Would have liked to see the shader/source for that :)

Agree with comments above about infinite ammo and choke point, etc, but can chalk all that up to 9 hours on the game.

Very solid effort overall. Well done. Shooting things is always fun.

Interesting use of the screen, the game lack some more mechanics to avoid the frontal confrontation with cratebox.

@GeorgeBroussard the effects are from default unity Image Effects. Most notably, the FishEye effect, and an Overlay effect with scanlines. The only thing I did that was a little different was the motion blur- where I had to use rendertextures of different layers to make projectiles and particles blur, while excluding other layers.

Thanks for playing guys. Hopefully I can polish this game a little more then LD judging is over.
