A Bard's Guitar by kindath
Controls :
[1][2][3][4]
Play notes.
An unconventional weapon: In this game, a bard finds a magical [+1 shocking guitar] (It's electric!) and begins using its great power to destroy his enemies.
Only one fight and two spells in this submission, unfortunately.
Game opens on the guitar, stuck into a pedestal like the sword in the stone.
There's some combat going on offscreen.
Press start!
Bard strolls in from the left.
"I hope this treasure is worth it, I had to leave my whole party to die back there" etc whatever
Pulls guitar out of pedestal, it rises up and floats for a second in a column of light a la zelda
B: "Now, what do we have here?"
G: "Are you a bard? Oh, thank fig! The last guy who wielded me was a barbarian who thought I was an axe!"
B: "An intelligent wonderous item, eh? Hmm, you should fetch a good price after all."
G: "Aww, come on, man! We just met! Aren't you a little curious about what I can do?"
B: "I guess. As long as 'what you can do' doesn't involve exploding or killing me horribly."
G: "Ten thousand years ago, I was forged for the bards of legend..."
B: "Nevermind. No one wants to hear that shizzle."
G: "Have you ever played a lute?"
B: "Yeah, that's like bard 101."
G: "I'm like that... but electric."
B: "Fancy."
G: "Wait... did you seriously leave those goblins alive? Here they come!"
Combat, etc
Mini tutorial about first spell and how the game system works.
B: "I might just keep you after all, perfect weapon for bards, blah blah blah"
Goes to town to pawn guitar, it's overrun by skellingtons or something
Fight a bunch of skellingtons and metal skellingtons and spellcaster skellingtons and then fight the skellington boss to save the world.
Then pawn the guitar for a couple gold.
