It's dangerous to go alone... by Hamsternator
It's dangerous to go alone, and you are about to prove it to these unfortunate travellers. Your masters pets are hungry and it's your job to frighten everyone that you can so that they stray from the regular path and into the monsters tummies.
Control the fairy with the mouse and summon scary eye-spitters to terrify the travellers with the left mouse button, but be careful because summoning requires energy. The energy renews itself automaticly but not fast enough. How many lunches can you prepare for your masters pets?
This game was made using:
Construct 2
Adobe Photoshop (Incredible graphics, right!)
Adobe Audition
Auxy (for iPad)
Edit:
Didn't have time to do it yesterday but now I've uploaded a web version of the game as well so hopefully you guys/gals won't have any more problems if you decide to try my little game =)

Thanks for the kind words y'all ^^
For some reason the web version works better in the way that the energy orbs are placed on separate locations around the fairy. You need three orbs to summon a monster =)
The villagers will only change paths if they're scared enough and have reached a branching path.
@colludium
If the monsters aren't eating the villagers... what are they doing? O_o
@Fenaer
You sure they didn't use one of the different paths lower on the map?
Could have used some more depth, but at least it's pleasant to look at.
It would be helpful if the fairy had some energy to start with, I found it hard to stop the first traveler because I didn't have enough energy to place down a eye-splitter for the first ~5 seconds, and by the time I had placed it down, they were already past all three monsters.
I feel the energy regeneration/level is missing some visual feedback for the player to understand where we are standing.
It also felt like no matter where/how many eye thingy we spawn, did not really matter in the end. The game is perhaps lacking a bit of strategy/tactic, or I missed it.
As mentioned in other comments the art style is pretty childish, as is the sound, it did not appealed that much to me on this specific game.
Congratulations on making a 48 hours entry !
I mean I get relaxed by playing stuff that's not so f*cking overdesigned (no offense). Instead the focus is a fun premise and good gameplay.
I mean this something that should go further, like a big fist up AAA devs asses...!
I understand that some parts are confusing. Some gameplay elements I hade planned didn't make it in the submitted version and others spawned through the need to complete this quickly.
Still, I learned plenty of new tricks that I can use for other projects in the future =)
I like the graphics and audio. They're not a masterpiece, but they don't have to. A fairy that's destroying the world with the method exploiting human errors is also a great thing. The background music is perfect.
Mechanics are neat, because unlike other "tower-defenses" you build. You kill. You get. You build. But they're destroyed over time, which makes it very fun for this little work. I wish there was some more feedback, like when you have enough energy or when a human is scared.
Maybe some little balancing, I mean is there a way to get the first human into being a victim?
Oh and the stream was awesome. Bra arbete(Great work in swedish)!
The game does indeed need more feedback and visual ques for the player. The amount of new tricks I poured into this did grant the side effect of me not having a clue about how I should fix some details that didn't behave as planned. And no... it is likely not possible to turn that first human into a victim. That's really poor game balance from my part, but something I had to ignore because of the time constraints.
I'm glad you enjoyed the stream. I've never developed anything and streamed at the same time before so that was an interesting experience for me as well ^^
