Install instructions
--Install L枚ve framework for your OS from https://love2d.org/

--Double click the "IamTrojanHorse.love" file you downloaded from Itch.io.

--Enjoy

--If you want to access the source code, rename the "IamTrojanHorse.love" to "IamTrojanHorse.zip" and unzip.


Controls:

Left / Right to move.

Down to duck. (From arrows)

Space to attack the door.
Hit is indicated by the shaking castle and speech bubble.
Pay attention to how the castle and you react on the first hit you give.

You Have 3 lives. Castle has 10 lives.


If the framerate seems to be lagging try pressing Q to disable vsync.
Press F to enable / disable fullscreen.


Edit: Fixed some embarrassing spelling errors. Maybe I should run my text through a spell check next time.

Art style is perfectly executed, gameplay not entirely clear to me... how do I dodge the water? Why doesn't anything happen when I touch the door?
Not rating anything but Theme & Graphics because I feel like I missed something like an extra button - an introduction in the description woudl've been nice.

Nice! I love the hand-drawn-ness of the game!

Simple mechanics, but the art really pulls it together as an original piece! Great job!

Good idea to use hand-drawn graphics :) That really speeds things up I can imagine. It's a lovely style and I see what you did there with the insider jokes. Cool game.

And what the horse says doesn't even make any sense in this context.

Looks good, but i couldn't get it to work... I made my entry with love also, but it didn't seem to open when i ran it. I really want to check it out though

Nice horse and very nice castle. Hard to know exactly if you take dmg or not, seem impossible to win. Or am i just bad at playing videogames?

In the future, don't distribute as .love. It's a hassle to people who don't use it. Follow this tutorial instead: https://love2d.org/wiki/Game_Distribution

I have to use it as reference every time I build a game, so don't worry about memorizing it.
