Here is my participation to the competition
I made all the game with construct 2. I had a lot of fun using this tool.
I hope you enjoy my game a little :)


About the gameplay :
- The speed combo increases every seconds as you keep moving and fall to 0 if you stop.
- The unconventional weapon is a sort of bomb. It explodes at a random place around the player position. The bomb appears at a distance proportional to the speed of the player.
- The density of falling squares and the distance between the platforms is also proportional to the speed.
- You can adjust the max speed of the player with the slider on the title screen (the camera zooms in or out to let you better anticipate the obstacles).

I spend a lot of time trying to adjust the distance between the platform, the number of obstacles falling, their distance to the player,etc.
I wanted the player to sometimes have the feeling of "surfing" the obstacles. Unforunately, as you will notice, i didn't really succeded... :)

Nice work on the basic mechanics :) Looks like you had fun with the visual effects as well. It's smooth and kinda fun to use ! Still lacks some gameplay, but it could be an awesome starting point for something bigger. Great job on completing a project :) !

Looks REALLY good, and plays smoothly but I'm not sure what the combos were and the unconventional weapon didn't seem to do anything. Very professional though, good stuff.

I must confess I'm pretty confused by this game.
I don't really understand why I'm a square shooting at squares. I don't really understand what the unconventional weapon do. I don't really understand how to manage the speed combo.

Good job on making an entry in the compo nonetheless.

@Kyatric. Thank you for your feedback. I juste added more informations in the description to explain a little bit more how the game works. For the question about being a square shooting at squares the only justification a can give is that i didn't have the time nor the talent to make more "evolved" sprites :)

Didn't understood the unconventional weapon, once I read what it was, it was easier to understand altought I think it was better to spam it rather to try to understand the functionality.
