Ancient Dungeon by SooloKim

[raw]
made by SooloKim for LD36 (JAM)
>> You awake in a room.
>> You do not know where you are or who you are.
>> You seem to only have just become self aware.
>> You only have so much energy before you die out..
>> Do not waste time as the ancient technology in the ruins are only after you.
>> Good luck.

NOTE:
There is a load time of about 10 - 20 seconds from my experience, so if you experience a delay before the game starts, it is most likely that. Thank you for your patience! :)

CONTROLS
-----------------
> ARROW KEYS TO MOVE
> MOVE INTO ENEMIES TO ATTACK
> MOVE INTO ITEMS TO CONSUME THEM
> FIND THE STAIRCASE TO KEEP GOING DOWN

Very nice game, well done!

The music is great!
I like how simple the controls are, just walk into things, the generated levels are interesting to traverse, and you really should consider the path you take, I could play for hours ^^
the graphics are clear and simple.

it's a good idea to have the top "console" print stats and what happened.
that way you can go into the game without any explanation and understand what happens.

is there an end? I stopped at floor 30.
Overall, a good entry that is fun to play.

It's a solid start for a roguelike, but there doesn't seem to be any end goal or difficulty curve. If you're planning on doing any post-jam updates, adding more variety as you get further into the game would go a long way towards adding replay value.

@CyberStarLight: Thank you so much for the feedback! I wish I implemented an end but for now it will go on forever until you die; kind of like an endless survival game. But again, thank you so much!! ^^

@Sean: Thank you for your feedback! If I am going to be updating this, more variety and content is on the top of the list to add to the game! Thank you again for the feedback! ^^

Cool! I like the roguelike design. If you continue to develop this (and I recommend that you do) I would try adding more enemy types and upgrades as you progress levels. Good job.

A good start, would require some more interaction but overall a good entry.
