The Swordfish Gun by huga
NOTE: This game is not finished! You can pick up swordfish but you cannot shoot them out :( Also you can fly and go through walls. There were going to be sea monsters to fight off by launching swordfish at them, but I ran out of time.
Requires Opengl 3.3+
It also _may_ not work on Win8, I haven't been able to test that.
Also there seems to be a bug involving the random number generator preventing fish from spawning. If you don't see any fish try restarting the game.
Controls:
Up: forward
down: backward
left: rotate counter-clockwise
right: rotate clockwise
z: switch directions
shift: increase buoyancy
ctrl: decrease buoyancy
What the game does have:
Procedurally generated sea floor, infinitely looping
A pretty cool flashlight
Pick up swordfish by driving over them
It sounds lame but I did some pretty cool technical things. I'll be posting an article about it soon.
Let me know if this doesn't work, I haven't tested it on any other computers yet. Thanks for playing :)
I also created a soundtrack in the 72 hours, but added it to the game after the limit. I did the bubble sound effects with a Korg MS-20 Mini and the pads with some free VST and a ton of reverb.

Given what's here it's really nicely done, the lighting and particles really help to draw the art style together and the slightly sluggish nature of the controls lend an authentic feel to piloting the submarine. Would love to see a finished version of this.
Also, no in-game sound? :(
