Springtime Warfare by Marty
-SPRINGTIME WARFARE-
Developed in GM:S
A game by Marty, Granfalloon and Intero!
NOTE: The game has been updated to fix a gamebreaking bug.
Marty did programming and art,
Granfalloon did art as well,
and Intero provided the lovely soundtrack.
Art and Audio all made during the Jam.
Use a spring loaded tank to propel your enemies into each other!
Controls:
Z: Charge and Release Spring, Proceed Dialog
X: Strafe lock
Arrow Keys: Movement
If you knock something into a Yellow Tower, a health power-up will drop from it.
There's only one level, hopefully it gets the idea across!
I'm only able to compile a Windows version at this time.

i'll try to finish it tomo, i'm to tired for it now ^^
if i had something to say is just that it maybe missing checkpoints ( i died to much time on spikes ^^)
good job
Lovely graphics and music to match. I think the best part is how the art style, the music, the animation, gameplay, ...everything just fit together so perfectly. Keeping people on the same page through an intense creation process like Ludum Dare is no mean feat. You guys should be super proud of this.
The controls felt a bit weird at first, but it's super fun and satisfying to play.
Awesome work. Great music, great style, great idea, great art great everything <3
The graphics, audio, gameplay, and idea are all top-notch.
Maybe also better control [they felt a bit strange] could help, but the main selling point remain the art style :).
The gameplay is solid, and the music is really charming :)
However I started the game directly at the boss battle, that might need to be fixed.
This reminded me a LOT of games from the 16-bit era, even more SNES games, which I loved! :3
Thanks for bringing back some nice memories of my childhood! :D
