made by xhunterko for LD32 (JAM)
As an agent of evil, you've been tasked with the murder of an entire town. YOU have to lay low though, cause of your recent reckless behavior. You have a sure fire plan though. It'll work like a charm. Never mind the laughing naysayers. Can you do it though? CAN you kill an entire town? Let's find out!

Controls:

-Use WASD to move.

-Click to fire.

-Do NOT touch anyone.

-Touching people causes you to teleport back to start.

-Press Q to quit at anytime.

-A person has become a smoker when they turn green and don't need to be poisoned any more.

Haha, great concept! Plays smoothly.

It would be neat to be able to see how many people are left to convert.

Sometimes the smoke drifts a long way, and sometimes it doesn't -- it maybe has to do with the lampposts? Making that mechanic clearer would have helped.

Nice one. I think it needs more challenge, like there is no real threat in walking around, because even if you are attacking someone noone cares too much, as long as you dont touch them. Also could work a little more on the shot, sometimes it cant even be seen if its going to colide with something. Shoudl at least see its splash.

Great work on The Halfburn Incident! I'm so happy you were able to submit on time despite having troubles!

Pretty good, the movement was a little off. Maybe that's just my computer though. Wish there was more to it than just spamming the button at people.

Nice game, but I don't know why I was replaying for the start for no reason, just standing there touching nobody and... restart. Maybe adding time, score or make people following you would improve the game !

Nice concept. It would have been a bit more fun if the poison didn't collide so often (maybe use a second, smaller collision object to determine if it hit a non-person). On the graphics side, cool/gross animation to indicate the smokers would have gone a long way to driving home the joke.

i don't like the idea of everyone becoming a smoker and it's not well executed

Akward hiboxes and it is not really clear where you can go and where you can't.

Heh, that was pretty cute. The graphics were reasonable (certainly better than I could do!). The concept was fine.

I had some problems with it, though...One problem was the collision of the 'smoke clouds'; they would disappear when hitting lampposts, even though the player could go through...And if people were in narrow alleys, it was really hard to get them. I'm not entirely sure how to fix this, though...maybe if you made the cloud a cluster of smaller clouds? The other thing that bothered me was that I wasn't sure how many people were left; I kept thinking I was done, then realizing there were more places to hunt down people. How about an indicator like "10/20" showing how many targets are left?

Congrats on finishing a game! ;)

Not a bad start for a game, I wish there was a little more to it, though. It could do with some sort of adversary, be it police guys that chase you, or a time limit, just something to flesh the game about a bit more.

I like your perspective on the theme and variety of townspeople sprites. The movement physics disintegrate as you go along, which is an interesting idea but feels more like a bug. Also, sometimes collisions don't register.

Decent game. Collisions were a bit strange and it was hard to find enemies, though.
