The audio is awesome. Gameplay could use some more work but nice job for a one day thing.

Heh, pretty goofy. Not much to do in terms of gameplay, though. It appears that the direction of the hula toss is dependent upon the direction you use to start dancing, so you have to make your decision of direction before you have the relevant information. And once the decision has been made, you're locked in. But the opponents also seem to always alternate between left and right, so it becomes a trivial decision in the end. Or I suppose you could just spam left/right as quickly as possible. My fingers didn't feel like doing that tonight, so I didn't find out how effective that strategy would be.

This is the most rational explanation for the existence of the hula hoop I've ever seen.

hahaha! that was awesome!
improve the challenge, guyz, too casual and easy to win.

Great music, concept was humorous, albeit shallow. Mechanically, you had no real control over where the hula-hoop was going to be thrown, but it seems you designed around it.

FYI Judges, spamming left and right is not a legitimate strat.

Hahaha! That's one humorous entry. :) I love the music and dancy animations. The gameplay could use some more work, but other than that, an excellent entry.

Ha. That made me laugh. Nice job. I wasn't sure exactly whether to be better I needed to press left-right faster, or whether I was just not consistent enough in the time between left and right.

Interesting, but having trouble working out how to determine which direction to fire in.
Best way to summarise this game is 'different', interesting entry.

Very unique and charming game. Controlling which way the hoop went would be nice though.

Haha, that was funny, I like the graphical style; I myself prefer to go for a funny look instead of trying to overly polish something for a jam. Fun idea for a weapon and a nice take on the theme.

I liked the music and art quite a bit. It's pretty fun to charge up the hula and fire it. I wish I could compare my score against my past score. Had a fun time with it. Nice work.

I found this game highly offensive as it perpetuates unhealthy stereotypes of my people.

(I come from a long line of proud, nonviolent, sentient hula-hoops)

I scored 46 before my fingers started freaking out. Contrary to how that might sound, I really enjoyed myself! Fantastic goofy gameplay, visuals and audio combine to make a fun game with a great mood. Thanks!

Seems a bit offensive (could have used other pictures for enemies), but kind of oddly simple and fun. I see a bunch of people saying they couldn't choose what direction the hoop went, but it seemed to me I could always press a direction key when the meter was full and throw a hoop that direction. Am I mistaken?

Also, HUGE thanks for mentioning Plogue Chipsounds! I'll have to ask them about potential license issues using it with a digital audio workbench, but I love the song you made and the product looks awesome.

Haha! Awesome! This is sooooo cool! I love it :D

Seriously I love so many things about this game. I love the music, the crudely animated photos, the fact that the photos are of you... Definitely a highlight of this Ludum Dare!

This was such a strange but humorous entry to play plus I like the low-fi charm of those digitised graphics.

It's a pretty silly game, but also really shallow. I admit, I'm pretty darn impressed with what you have within the short amount of time given, anyway. So good job!
