Daifugo is a short platformer where you play as a samurai knight who fights with cards. This a short concept, I wanted to add more to it but I accidentally over scoped the project. I have many enemies and a proper boss done but their A.I needed work so I cut them for now. I plan on working further on this idea. It was a fun run, crazy how long it took to upload the game though.

EDIT:The theme was suppose to come off by the weapons abilities but I was unable to finish implementing the effect but Here's to finishing it and going to Indiecade!


Controls

WASD - Move and Jump

Right Key - Attack


What Went right:

-Design
-Art and Animations were completed
-Scope wasn't too big

What went wrong:

-Technical Mishaps with the engine
- Due to the previous, enemies and the real boss were cut

This was a great effort. Shame some enemies were cut out - the variety would have been nice - but the art style makes ups for it. I thought the player's animations were charming.

Boss is really annoying. Collision shape is off by a lot

I like the graphics !
However I don't understand where is the "unusual weapon"...

There was obviously a lot of effort put into the art for this game, it would have benefited the game a lot if more time had been spent on ironing out bugs. Also, a sword isn't really an unconventional weapon

The character art and music made for a nice mood! As others have pointed out, the big slime was a little tedious to fight, and the card/weapon connection was a tough one to make.
