Good's Out by KCrimson

[raw]
made by KCrimson for LD32 (JAM)
Good's Out is a competitive forklift driving game.

You have to be the first to reach a certain amount of points, while using anything at your disposal to sabotage your opponent.

It is 2-player ONLY. You can try to play against yourself but you might find it easy to predict your opponent.

It supports same keyboard play or keyboard vs gamepad.

The idea was that whenever you take something that should be co-operative and introduce a competitive element (like first one to 10,000 points), then anything can be used as a weapon. Your forklift, your precious cargo, maybe even the real life keyboard if things get heated enough.

Changelog>

Player 2 can now actually win (sorry player two)
intro screens now display in correct order
fixed issue with a specific box stuck in floor
standard box is now worth 500 points to make the game quicker

That is hard! Seems easier to just push crates to the square.

Great to find another two player game, was fun crashing into each other. Pushing crates worked best for me too, especially if its competitive.

Got stuck a few times, but had a blast doing it. Thought the yellow crates went to the yellow driver at first - but it didn't take long to figure out that wasn't the case. Lots of potential here, thanks for sharing!

Well, unfortunately I only have myself to play. Still, it's fun to play. The truck turns too fast though. The music fits the mood really well, and so does the art style.

Congratulations, my girlfriend hates me now, good job. I had fun winning, at least. We got a bug where player 2 got 10,000 points but the game didn't end. Neat game.

I had to borrow one of my brothers to play this (but of course, he didn't mind). Man, that was fun! One of the best entries I've seen thus far. The sloppy physics make everything even better. I would change the yellow items to some other color, such as green, as I thought at first that they could only score for yellow. But that was the only thing I didn't like about it. 5/5 all round!

+fun to play
+'sabotaging' is a good idea
+ funky racing control
- bug: forklifts can fly out
- accidentally skipped the winning screen

Lots of fun, pushing the crates around did seem to be the way to go. Liked the artwork, it's a shame I can't rate this entry on it.

Nice game.
Indeed it's easier to push the boxes. the need to be lock on the floor and prevent to be pushed by players. just set them to be movable when they are been carried.
Thanks for sharing.

I don't have someone to play with at the moment, but I think you did a good job on the forklift physics. On the negative side, driving around, I got stuck in a wall at some point.

Haha loved it, would be awesome if boxes were too heavy to push and if you could forklift the other player.
