Cleaning the Attic by Wolfgang_

[raw]
made by Wolfgang_ for LD32 (COMPO)
A puzzle-like game where you control a kid with two hairdryers. The objective of each level is to eliminate all the spiders by blowing them away into spikes.

Controls:
Click on player to show places you can move.
After your player has moved, pick a direction by moving the mouse around the arrow that appears in the center of the screen. Your player will turn that direction and "fire" the hairdryers.

I sort of ran low on time towards the end, so there are only four levels. If you want, you can download the source here:

https://bitbucket.org/Wolfgang_/ld-apr-2015/src

The level data is stored in "js/levels.js" if you want to try making your own levels. I originally meant to make a level editor along with this, but I ran out of time.

I enjoyed this very much. It's an interesting twist on movement puzzle games. One suggestion would be to make the enemies monster a bit more predictable. great job! :)

Nice stuff! Solid and fun. I'm not sure what the different block types do, but it was enjoyable even if it was short.

Taking on a puzzle game is pretty ballsy. They always leave me wishing there were more levels. Especially since this one starts to get interesting around the same time it ends. Was really good though, just wish you had more time to put some more into it.

An interesting puzzle! I just think the hairdryer is a bit OP xp, but still, nice job!

The arrow did not always change immediately when I moved the mouse.

I hate spiders so I welcomed being able to blow them away. :P Cute idea!

I like it. I can see you had a lot of ideas that could be expanded on into a larger game. I especially like the no blow tiles on level 4. I think the game would be improved if you HAD to move on each turn rather than being able to stay in place. I felt like I was able to 'cheat' some of the puzzles this way. Nevertheless I like what you've made =]
