Net Clicker by deathray

[raw]
made by deathray for LD32 (COMPO)
An Incremental / Idle / Clicker styled game where you take on the role of a hacker, controlling a network in covert battles against rival networks.

Steal info, turn it into cash, buy upgrades, hire hackers, and dominate all the networks.

Runs great in fullscreen -- click "Toggle Fullscreen". The music is turned off by default, but feel free to turn it on if you'd like to fully rate the audio.

How to Play:
- Assign a Hacker to a job by clicking the "+" button. Then click the Hacker button (with the face) to manually perform the action. Clicking is faster than waiting.
- Attack your opponent with a Troll, then switch to a Black Hat to steal info, then switch to the Developer to turn that info into money. Then spend your hard-won money!
- If you can click fast, you can defeat opponents with just a Troll, but if you advance without any upgrades you might be in trouble.

Really nice game. Not sure how it's connected to the theme, but I love it! :)

I couldn't work out how to play it - I guess you just assign your dude and then wait? Seems like a mobile game?

Very nice, very polished! Took me a while to figure out I'm supposed to click on the guys to do stuff.

amusing idea, and really nice graphical menu system. glitched out a bit when trying to get my idler to go back to info, but overall a really nice submission.

I like the interface and the overall look, but I didn't really find the gameplay very interesting. I may have misunderstood something about it (and I'll admit I'm not very good at resource management type games), but it seemed like I spent most of my time waiting for various numbers to tick up.

@ViliX64 -- Hacking/cyberwarfare is the most "unconventional weapon" I could think of.

@ManicMiner -- I should've added some kind of tutorial. I'll add a few more notes to the description, but basically: clicky click click.

Glad some of you are enjoying it!

Not bad, but a little too slow off the get-go for my likes. That said, excellent visuals and overall neat game!

Very clever! A bit too slow, and no female dev :-/ but I had a great time by playing this entry :)
