ROGUE PLANET!!!

In this game you will combat the terrors of an unknown planet with the powers of illumunation as your only weapon! Horror! Excitement!

I made this game so I could have a play with some 2D shaders, and while I'm pleased with the result, it's quite incomplete. I didn't get round to making a sprite for the main character even. Instructions are:

Make sure sounds are turned on so you can hear the objectives
Click (and sometimes hold) on things to interact with them
Move with WASD / arrow keys
change "weapon" with the numbers or the scroll wheel
There are crates dotted around with stuff in!

If you have Linux you can play by cloning the repo and installing python-pygame and python-opengl. Windows users can try downloading the packaged version. Please note that you need an graphics card that supports opengl 1.3, hopefully that's most people.

Edit: Uploaded a version that should work on ATI cards now

Very hard, but did it after a couple tries! Interesting concept and it plays well. Follows the theme too! Only downside was the sounds, they were a bit annoying after a while. It was bearable though, so I got through it and had fun :) For me it said the pyconfig thing too, but it started anyways.

A really great game, and a lot of fun! Felt rewarding to kill with the deflector. Made it to the end and enjoyed all of it. Neither too easy or hard, it started out with a feeling of hopelessness, but then I found stuff and got on top of things. Good work, and good voice acting :)

This is the first game I've ever played that had me laughing when I died. That was great!

I beat it! I liked the upgrades and the items I found were all very useful. The things following me could get me stuck, but most of the time I could outrun them back to the shuttle.

Hey :) We fixed the bug in our game that stopped you progressing - if you feel like giving it a second look then please do! Thanks for feeding back, my friend with a Windows PC has your game on his list to play! :)

I have to try this game again on a beefier computer. The framerate was so low on my laptop that I tunneled through walls. I like the sound effects though.

Fun game and interesting concept. The mood of it reminded me of the Alien Breed games for the Amiga.
Really good job!
