Unconventional Universal Remote by Mekuri

[raw]

### VERSION NOTICE ###
The HTML version is a hit or miss. It may or may not work.
There's a Unity Webplayer version as well, which should work if you re-enable the NPAPI puglin.

The Mac and Linux versions have not been tested, since I don't have either myself, but I decided to put them up for you mac and Linux users convenience :-)
######

Finally done, and once again I ended up in the submission hour.

In Unconventional Universal Remote (UUR) you are, for reason unknown to you, holed up in a room. Someone contacts you and advices you to leave quickly. Your goal is to get out, while avoiding the robots.

TL:DR
As it usually is with these Ludum Dare games, I had to cut a lot of good stuff out. I would've liked to be able to focus more on the story part of the game, but I was struggling with some weird bugs that cost me too much time (The usual stuff right? :-)
I would also have liked to have more levels, but I'm not really fast at designing levels. I did manage to make the game beatable, and I do hope you enjoy it :-)

I will upload a HTML5 version later, and change the Unity location to something other than dropbox later.

The dropbox is just prompting to download a html file. You need to put it in the public folder for it to actually work.

The HTML link crashes immediately for me in Firefox. The Dropbox link just prompts you to download an HTML file, not the actual game. I think you need to make the folder public? I don't have Windows either, so I couldn't get the game working. :<

Haha, great concept and narration. I enjoyed playing your game, but would love if it was longer.

Neither your HTML nor Unity web links are working. Otherwise, good game! Had a very Portal feel to it. Good concept, for sure, and well done.

I think this fitted pretty good to the theme. I also really liked the narrator. Im always pretty scared of things that are following me so i need to restart the whole xD

Interesting little game, though the character moves a little too slow for my liking. Nice job!

Those robots are ridiculously relentless when they chase you but I really liked the concept and I absolutely loved the voice-over.

Support this game.. really? Asking for money on the Web version is just plain tacky. Also, the mouse look moves way too fast.

The support button is an option that is on by default, and I never really considered to untick it, as.. well I never really considered anything about money.

Loved the little bots! Even though not all of them got hit by the fans, they fell anyway when they hit the felt down fan ^.^ Enjoyed it! I want one UUR.

The voice over is amazing! And i love to kill those robo-bastards that gave me toxins and made me lose my memory :D.
Just one thing: could you please fix the web players? The don't work :(

Interesting FPS concept. I liked the narrator and the aesthetic. It seems to me that the mechanic is too slow. Neat ++

I must say I'm amazed when it comes to range and ideas regarding the theme.
Not too many games that are the same.
This concept was truly fun, and the 3D is nice.
