Detune by geckojsc
Detune is a rhythm game with platform elements.
Something strange happened in your kingdom, and suddenly it is full of monsters and thorns!
Fortunately you are THE GOD OF BASS* **, so you embark on a journey to defeat the evil creatures using the power of music.
Controls:
- Arrows to move
- Number keys (1 to 8) to jam to the rhythm
Written in the ooc programming language with my own engine, Vamos.
A git repository and updates to the required libraries will be posted soon, along with Linux builds, but for now the source is included in the game download.
Known issues:
Moving the window will suspend the game loop (while the audio is still playing), which can break the sequence. The problem will correct itself after 30 seconds or so.

Congrats!
Yeah, it only checks for correct presses, not mistakes. I decided to keep that in because the game was already quite difficult, and I didn't want to spend time potentially breaking the system that was already working. :)
I definitely see a lot of potential though and I would love to see this built upon. Also, the music was really great and I love how each part added more layers to the music throughout each stage.
Was pretty hard to finish. But the music kept me going.
My hands hurt a little now...
The game was really hard, and I got frustrated before finishing it.
I also must say, that the music didn't feel like a weapon, but more like a puzzle, which could have been avoided with some notes spwaning at the player's location and moving towards the enemies
I must say I find the visual cues for the rhythm quite noisy and hard to follow, I'm much better off if I just close my eyes and listen for the beat.
I was one of those who mashed the keyboard to pass some difficult parts hehhehe. But the concept is pretty good and I also liked the graphics.
This entry is gorgeous. Congrats! :D
A little bit more tweaking would have made this really great. As it is, it is still a wonderful game :)
