This is my first ludum dare game. The Idea behind it was to make a shmup where your only method of attack is to absorb an enemy's projectile as ammo. Change your ship's color to match an incoming projectile in order to absorb it.

Press WASD to move, K to change color, and J to attack.

Pretty cool idea, but there is no score, so shooting enemies has no point gameplay wise.

This is one of my favorites. I'm in love with the aesthetic. It's super cute. And I love the mechanic. I really enjoyed trying out all the weapons. It's kind of like rubbing your belly and patting your head at the same time as far as collecting bullets at the same time as firing them. Great job! And cute pun ;)

Interesting idea! Nice graphics and sound, but the controls are a little clunky. Maybe if we could jump straight into an color instead of cycling through all the colors it'd perfect.

It needs a lot of development programatically and on game mechanics, but the good taste of the graphics made it one of my favourites <3

The concept and presentation were really good. The game play suffered due to the fact that there's so much red in the early game there's little compelling reason to switch for most players, even though some might be able to switch around quickly to absorb attacks.

I found this surprisingly enjoyable. Getting hit by specific projectiles to suck up bullets is a fun mechanic, though red was by far the easiest to deal with. It also takes a while to swap between all the colors. Only having two colors like ikaruga could make it easier to work with.
