Hi I'm Seb, 16 yo, self proclaimed programmer and this is my first Ludum Dare.
A side-scrolling platformer with a simple whip mechanic allowing you to decapitate and kill your enemies with ease.
The music was created by my brother Oliver. I'm in love with the piece and he has some other great stuff on his sound cloud, worth checking out -

I spent way to long trying to get decent 2d platforming out of unity, that I forgot to do decent level design. I will hit this up in about a day or 2 and make a bunch more levels for it, but for now you get a nice 30 seconds of gameplay.
The concept of the game is that you are a prisoner in a dungeon guarded by mysterious hooded men, It's rather vague but being a 1 man development team, it was difficult to get round to developing a story.
Known Bugs
-Blood can flicker after going off map
-Can get caught on corners
-Rarely upon dying the game will not reset
-Enemies are oblivious
-Various whip issues

At first the controls felt a bit floaty, but I quickly became used to it. The range of the whip could be a bit longer. Otherwise it was a great game!

Would love to see this expanded a bit more. A dungeon escape game would be pretty interesting - the audio is good too, really fits in with the mood of the game

I was sad to see only one level :( but really good mood! Game feel is maybe a bit slow.

Cool art, and the music is nice and moody. Could use some SFX. The whip was a little floppy and unintuitive, but the character felt decent to control. Good work!

Very atmospheric. You already listed all the issues I had with this game, so I'll spare you the criticism.

Neat little proof of concept. The graphics were nice and I like the idea, though the player had a delay when stopping and the whipping wasn't always very responsive. I encourage you to keep working on it. Good luck!
