A game about a mysterious biological weapon.
I hope you'll enjoy it!
Controls: cursor keys to move, mouse left click to attack.
IMPORTANT: Looks like there are some performance issues on some older system, as well as a bug that makes the game unplayable on Internet Explorer. I'm going to fix these issues as soon as I can.

I'll try to explain why I've decided to use cursor keys instead of WASD and why the game has no sound.
WASD has some problems with some keyboards (AZERTY keyboards and Dvorak). I've used cursor keys because I didn't have the time to deal with these issues. Moreover, they are the only keys used in the game besides the mouse... so i think that is not that unconfortable.
About sound... I really love well done music and sound effects in video games. Sound and music are really important for immersion and mood.
I had two choices for audio: record sounds myself or use some self-made retro videogame sounds. I didn't have enough time or resources for the first solution (firearms sounds are kinda rare :D) and I didn't feel that retro sound effects would fit the mood of the game.
Moreover I'm really unexperienced with audio and music in general, is something I need to work on in the future.
bit easy, needs some challenge
Anyway, thanks for playing and sharing your thoughts!
@Tipyx: Never happened to me, can you tell me what browser did you use?
The game didn't feel very challenging, though, and it didn't really grip me and keep me wanting to play.
Anyway, I loved this game. It's not got a lot of content, sure, but the little it does it does well, and with style. There's more of a story than most games I've seen, there's a consistent theme, the mechanics are smooth and enjoyable.
Admittedly, I've already spent more time writing this than it took to play the game. But still.
@cgmorton: I lol'd at the last sentence, above all because I know that it's NOT a joke XD
Thanks for the good words anyway :)
The attack move does feel powerful, which is nice. I also like how enemies are hidden but still sort of visible in they're far away.
Anyway, I think I'll do a post-LD version. Surely won't happen during these 3 weeks of judging, I would feel it like trying to influence people with something that doesn't belong to the LD challenge.
Thanks everyone for playing, it's something that somehow amazes me :D
Things I like:
Introduction;
Menu;
Animation;
Graphics;
Things I Dont like:
The lack of the WASD option;
We have to set the direction with the keyboard, but the attack is made in the mouse position.
Nice job, congratulations!
Still, shows that you have skill in crafting an interesting scene :)
