You are the Magiball bearer! Slay the enemies to proceed and don't let the ball stop moving, otherwise you'll suffer the consequences.

Featuring:
- 3 unique types of enemies
- 1 ultra difficult(but fair) boss
- 3 attack modifiers

Controls:
- WASD: move
- Left mouse: attack
- Space: roll
- Scroll: Change enchantment
- M: mute

Post Compo 0.1 Update:
- Ball deals double the damage;
- Poison effect deals 5 dps instead of 3;
- Freeze effect slows movement speed in 75% instead of 50%;
- Bomber movement speed reduced;
- All enemies have the same number of HP (30);
- Reduced stage 4 layout difficult.

Really liked the idea. Pretty tough, but interesting. The control over the player felt a little sluggish though.

The scaling on the web version is strange. Half of the game seems to be cut-off

Cool, tough, but pretty fair. The enemies have a ton of health, and could be toned down a bit. The gameplay is really unique, and really fun. Good work

I really liked the graphic style you used to make the menus!
A few glitches all around, such as enemies walking through walls. It'd feel better if the game was a bit faster paced (Faster ball, more damage, faster enemies)

Played your game out of curiosity because I had a similar concept. Really enjoyed using the ball as a timer. Fairly difficult and entertaining. With a little polish, you'd have a wonderful game.

Great game - unique mechanics, a good challenge, and I love the risk/reward idea of choosing whether to go on to the next level or redo the previous one in order to try and preserve more health. Lovely stuff.

I played twice already, and remains difficult... But it's a great game, I just wish it were easier to defend.

Could use some polish, and maybe a lighter learning curve, but you have a pretty cool idea here. Not sure where the theme is though. The concept of ricocheting the ball off enemies and catching is very satisfying. Nice particles :)

Cool game! Sort of like old school Gauntlet meets Dodgeball. It definitely takes a little practice to get good at hitting things with the ball. Great work!

Very good game! I love the main mechanic, but maybe the game's a bit to hard. Also, the game may be too punishing. I also like the graphics and art. Good job!

Would be nice if the ball did more damage.
Anyway, I got a bug: The ball went out of the stage.

I think it happened when I threw the ball when the ball is inside the wall. Other than that, it was great!

Really good game, if perhaps a little difficult. Think I agree that the damage is not quite high enough, would have been nice to start out mowing through enemies and have the later levels ramp up the difficulty.

Very fun mechanic though and great graphics/sound.

Gameplay, art, and animation are all wonderful. I love the unique weapon, and beat the first level in about 20 seconds. Great game.

Things were going well until I 'lost control of the Magiball' on level 4, that was unexpected.

This game is definitely fun, but it's got some peculiarities. For instance, isn't the poison ball just strictly way better than the fire ball? What's more, with the poison ball I would just suddenly win the level without seeing the enemies die, I don't know if that's a glitch or what.

Anyway, congrats on a great game. :)

Man this game is hard! But it's fun once you get used to it. I could only get to level 3, but it was still fun. I'll admit though, I sort of cheated the first level by just dragging the ball around and letting the enemies walk into it. Maybe some simple pathfinding to avoid the flame trail would be good, but that might make an already difficult game even harder!
Great job, I'd love to see an expanded version of this (even though I probably wouldn't make it to the end)!

@cgmorton The difference is the poison deals damage per 3 seconds on each enemy hit by the ball and the fireball leaves a trail of fire that deals damage on contact

Fun concept. Had difficulty understanding what to do at first and the 'roll' with space was confusing, I seemed to roll in a random direction (most often to the right?). Liked the fire effect.

Wrong scaling method selected for the export I think - half of the screen is cut off in the iframe.

A hard game to get used to, but realy excellent graphics. I died so many times it would have been nice to restart the level rather than have to navigate to the game again from the menu (including through the instructions). I think with some polish and a less-steep learning curve this could be excellent.

The start of the game is quite brutal might want to give the player a 3 second countdown intro. It was very addictive at times and I and fun figuring out the different powers and what they actually do. Overall great game!
