These people sure love their hot dogs! Nice bite-sized (no pun intended?) jam entry, just could have used some audio and maybe a bit more visual polish.

At first I thought it was a bug that you can't switch directions while shooting, but once I started using it to my advantage it was really useful for strafing along. The fact that the people grow as you shoot them also is pretty interesting as they're harder to dodge and you have to not be above and to the side of them when you start shooting.

I wish the people were different in a way other than their sprite, but I liked the game.

I like this idea I just wish you had gotten farther with it! Audio would have been a massive improvement.

@doitle: Ya the strafing is actually intended behavior.

@Tortoise and @graebor: Yes audio would have been a great improvement. I just didn't have enough time. This Jam for me was very laid back so I slept a normal amount.

@Javabot: I have never encountered that before. Do you remember what you did to reproduce instead of just shooting a hotdog?

It's got good art, and is fun to play. It's very well polished, which is nice. Good job.

Audio would have been great, especially for a jam entry. Also doesn't really push the theme to its limits -- a gun will always be just a gun, if you know what I mean.

But, a good entry in general. :)

Dude, awesome. I had more fun playing that than I thought I would, and it made my laugh. Nice work!

I was able to post up to the side and just lean on a button to get them all. Some kinda of differentiation in either the gun or the enemy type would have made that better I think. Also some sounds. I did like that the hotdogs trajectory was a bit random. Like it was a home made improvised weapon of sorts.

A fun game! Found it quite hard to change directions and shoot, I liked that the people would increase in size though when you filled them with hotdogs, a nice touch!

You shold've made a score after a game over, I lost and don't know how long I lasted :(
Also it became kinda boring after a while, and was pretty simple
A little bit more gameplay mechanics and it would be interesting!

Entertaining concept. The graphics were simple and charming :-)

Obstacles which would block the hot dogs would have made a game a bit more challenging (it seems that right now, an easy way of suceeding is to simply stay in one side of the screen, and continually firing towards the other side.

The "strafe-effect", where firing locked the direction the character was facing, felt a bit odd.

I actually really liked the game idea and the game itself seemed pretty enjoyable. My game is sort of in a similar fashion. Anyways, lack of sounds :/.
