Fun game but i can't shoot up and down, so it's difficult to play.

amusing game. i didn't realize the item spawns were weapon power-ups at first. clever idea; nice work!

Lol I like the idea!
With a greater number of guard in each room it would have been better, btw nice job!

Fun game, would have liked a bit more variation in enemies / setting but all in all I enjoyed playing it! Keep it up gents.

Fun Game, a bit hard to control and hit the projectiles. Still a nice experience.

Fun game, but it would be better, if I would be able to shoot up and down aswell. Great work nonetheless.

Je je, funny theme... sounds familiar :-) those black cards :-) you are from spain by chance?? :-p

The enemies get a little stuck at corners which makes easy to kill them.

Nice work

Thanks for all the comments! Up and down shooting was coded, but no time for up-down anims so we focused on more playing stuff.

Anyway, we will revisit this game for sure!

Like the idea, but the AI is lacking, and why do I get +$$$ both when I shoot and get money from ATM?

Nice idea, i`d like if it was also possible to shoot up&down.

Fair effort! Being able to only shoot left and right is a bit of a bummer, and once you get the gold bar killing (bribing?) the enemies gets a bit too easy. Hits the theme though!

Not bad! Would like to be able to shoot in 4 or 8 directions, and enemies seemed to get stuck on walls a lot. Clever game idea!

Guess there is some biting social commentary in there somewhere but I don't get the reference. And the game itself was so-so. :-)

Not bad, but it could've used some music to keep it interesting. Also, the bots get stuck on walls really easily, making it rather simple to kill them :P

Interesting idea and a pretty funny game! I like the graphics and while the gameplay was a bit repetitive it was still pretty fun. One thing that could have made this better was some background music, especially since you were in the jam! if you ever need a song for your game, you should check out http://freemusicarchive.org

I like the idea, but the execution is flawed. I don't see why it shouldn't be possible to shoot vertically and the enemies aren't very fun to fight against.

Interesting idea, bribing the law by chucking money at them. I like the different values of cash you could throw by getting power ups. There should be an attack where you "make it rain".

When you get hit by the guards it shows +10000 which is confusing because it actually removes cash.

I didn't understand why I couldn't shoot up and down; But the graphics were pleasing.

I can't figure out how to shoot any direction but right and I find the screen shake to be jarring. :/

Thank you for your comments! I see most of you agree on the issues, so in reply to them:
-The initial idea was having 4-way money throwing. As @razieliyo said, that was implemented, but I couldn't make the up/down animations in time, so we thought it was better to make it only horizontal for aesthetical reasons.
-More enemies and map variety were planned initially, too. Now again, time contraints...
-The enemy AI is a bit lacking and yes, the game is a bit on the easy side. Enemies get stuck a lot, and are easy to beat, we know.
-No music. We should have considered using some free music or quick loop, but again... Sorry!
@tentabroppy Thank you

-Yes, the game could use some polishing. We see it as a prototype on which to build upon.

We're considering making a full-blown commercial game out of this. What do you guys think?

@Matt Tuttle Man, thank you for the idea. And yes, it should be -10000.It's a bug.
@Crowbeak If you keep pushing Z, you can't change the direction of the shot. Is it because of that?

Time constrains everywhere, and I'm not having the desired time to invest into it right now, sorry :( but better and more sophisticated collision shapes and a proper pathfinding are two enhancements I would like to accomplish.

Anyway, as @JotaJota said, we're planning on spending much more time when we're able to do it.

Also, note that both of us, @JotaJota and me, used this jam to learn new tools. He did it with Krita and I did with both Haxe language and Luxe gamedev framework.

What can I say about Luxe after doing this? it really helped A LOT; I may have spent time figuring out about some simple stuff, specially Nape physics setup (I'm used to Box2D), but it was definitely worth. I can't wait to see what can be done in a weekend jam now that I have some experience :3

@Everyone, thanks for the comments, critics and thoughts! :)

I think one of the key things that would have made this game more enjoyable is smoothing out the controls/collision handling with the walls. Congrats on your entry!
