Puppet Guardian by sebasRez
Ludum Dare 32 Unconventional Weapon: Puppet!
A high intense action game much akin to super meat boy or 10 second ninja in speed, but now you must take out all the enemies at once by teleporting, punching, uppercuting, and ground smashing all in one swift movement.
You have been summoned by the lazy elder sages to clean up their house but you have to get there first and its full of magic and nasty baddies.
The controls for keyboard are:
A/D /or/ Left/Right to move
Spacebar /or/ X to Jump
Left Click /or/ Z to Attack
W and Left Click /or/ Up and Z to uppercut
Right Click /or/ C to send projection
(with projection out) S /or/ Down to Teleport.
(with projection out) Q /or/ V to Down smash.
Joystick Controller:
Dpad Left/Right to Move
A to Jump
Square to Attack
Up Dpad and Square to Uppercut
Y to send Projection
(with projection out) Down D Pad to Teleport
(with projection out) B to Down smash
Esc to quit the game.

The music was not done by us (Craig Stern - The Sorceror's Tower) so when rating the Audio please only consider the voice acting and sounds.

When I kept spawning a projection and also kept pressing down-forward I ended up inside the next wall.
Then I could walk all the way to the exit :-).
Hope this is fixable. I really want to play it.
Controls seem a bit weird. But I liked the multitasking aspect and the main idea of killing enemies at the same time. I think there could be much more to it.
But graphics and audio is awesome. Voice acting is a rare thing for LD!
It`s a professional game, brilliant animations, good music and effects and perfect programming.
The "select your weapon" was a funny thing.
Make a big game of this!
And if this happens to anyone else can you please let me know the issues so that I may resolve them. Thanks for playing everyone!
Other critiques... I couldn't hear some of the vocals because the music was too loud. That's pretty minor. Also, the difficulty was weird. The enemies were almost silly in how easy they were to kill, but some of them reappeared instantly, and going back to the very beginning for one death makes it unrewarding to try to try anything new. I wanted to figure out if there was a way past the three coloured walls, but interacting with an enemy in any way besides instantly killing them would just send me back to the start.
Very nice graphics and sound.
Unfortunately the mac version did't work for me (did you choose x86 or x86_64? The latter would be better for recent Macs). Thankfully I got a Windows VM. :)
I also got some slowdowns when there were many particles. But that might be the VM again.

At first I thought the barriers would hurt me, but I guess they were just going to block me if I didn't kill the enemies before them? I always killed the enemies on screen before proceeding so I didn't quite catch their role.
Spent a while in the first screen too trying to figure out why I couldn't jump and do the things mentioned in the description, but once I noticed I didn't have the sock puppet yet I realized that the game must be preventing me from doing those things.
I love the unconventional weapon. What a great idea, and the voicing really adds a lot to it. Some of the mechanics don't completely make sense, like "sending" yourself or the puppet underground, when in fact you're no longer standing on the platform (so there's no way to reach it through the ground). But it comes in handy, even if it doesn't make physical sense. ;)
I didn't have trouble with the camera, but I thought the "send projection" thing was too finnicky. Kept missing my target and having to send it over again. Would be nice if you could left/right the projection or something.
Lovely game! Great work!
The ending suggests there would be a sequel. If you plan to work on this game again, then I wish you best of luck with it.
Also, even if the game does not emphasize it, I liked the BG art. Very good entry.
