Use materials found in your garage to craft an unconventional weapon. Choose wisely, as you can only carry one weapon on your way to Big G. Use your imagination, but don't go nuts as not everything works.
Use:
MOUSE to drag materials to craft
WASD/ARROWS to move
SPACE to shoot
ALT to do special if possible
-There are 12 weapons in total
-You aren't supposed to be able to complete the game with every weapon.
-There are no sounds, unfortunately.
-If it is super laggy for you, I can't help it (much). I blame the language!
-Keep the "Assets" folder in the same folder as the executable.
-Windows only :(
-I apologize if anyone in the ghetto gets offended. (Still ain't ticking that box.)
PROBLEMS:
Blurry graphics on Win 8/8.1 (try compatibility mode?)
Failed to play on someones PC (no clue)
1082 lines, done in 48 hours and absolutely from scratch with CoolBasic. CoolBasic is a BlitzBasic based language providing some simple graphics functions and an object system. It's so simple that I had to, for example, create an algorithm that draws objects according to their y-value. The performance is also crap on CoolBasic, so the algorithm is not set to perfect-mode -- expect graphical glitches. Still, CoolBasic is a cool language. Easy to use, but hard to do beautiful projects. That's why completing this compo is actually a huge success in my eyes. The game isn't too bad either, just don't look at the source code (it's baaaad). Graphics were done with Paint.NET and I've included the .pdn-files too.
Have fun and please rate and comment - I love to get feedback!

(Just tried it on Win 8 and it looks like crap for some reason. I don't know if you can play it in compability mode or something to make it better. It's playable, but blurry.)
:( if you want to appeal to linux and mac users try LOVE 2d
it's probably similar but i don't really know (Never used coolbasic). I'm going to rate and play this on my friends windows machine to see how good it is.
I got it running on XP in VMWare for all the fun LD windows .exe games. Enjoyed combining weapons in the left panel, nice idea, cool basic looks mad.
Broomstick and a rope: A whip with some good crowd control, but the damage was lacking. Verdict: Failure.
A tube, fuel(?) and a ball: A true ghettoblaster. Somewhat hard to hit people though. Verdict: Failure.
Vacuum cleaner and a ball: A worse ghettoblaster. Verdict: Failure.
Vacuum cleaner and a broomstick: Average damage, nice knockback, good hitbox. Hard to use because you have to retrieve the broomstick. Verdict: Failure.
But add a piece of rope into the mix and you're set for life. That thing was beastly. Verdict: Overwhelming success.
(Checked the thinky.txt too and seems like I missed some obvious combinations :P).

Cool crafting system and it was neat that not all "weapons" were equally viable. Worked decently for me and looks good enough for a compo entry.
But the main reason I played this was the fact that it was made in CoolBasic. Had to dig out an old USB drive with my own CoolBasic projects on it and judging by the modified field on the files it has been nearly ten years since then! Judging by my compo entry for this LD I haven't come far enough since that day...
Good luck, fellow Finndev. Keep it up!
