Globber by HashTagCake
Globber!
Globber is a brutal weapon-collecting rogue-like! The player starts off with nothing and must collect as many weapons as they can before they are overcome by the powerful forces of the various enemies scattered around the procedurally generated map!
Good luck!
NOTE: For those interested in the source on Github. Beware traditional master! It was merged with a bad branch and is toxic. "zion" is what you want. :)
Also, we have a version containing changes we couldn't finish in time for the deadline:

O(n^5) algorithm. You have nuts. This is good, I like the HUD, but it feels kinda buggy

Just so you know, I spawned under the level when using the Web version. When I actually respawned inside the level, I liked playing katamari with swords and frying pans :^)

The movement is very smooth. I really like that. But I think the idea strays from the point. Maybe collection is the unconventional weapon? I don't know. As a game, its purpose is really indistinct, if there isn't your introduction. I don't know what I should do and which step the game is in.

I liked the idea. It was fun playing as the horseshoe crab too. I was a bit confused by the combat though.

really awesome! non-transparent backgrounds killed the graphics though.
