Druid of the Moon by kmasiulis

[raw]
made by kmasiulis for LD32 (COMPO)
A game about a life of a druid. Started as a physics puzzle platformer, ended up as a new game engine project.

About the theme: I think that being a druid is one of the most unconventional weapons you can have.

Controlls:

A,D / arrow keys
TAB, SPACE

I kept getting an error about not being in shadow even when I was completely hidden by a tree. I liked the graphics and being told to watch out for bears when I am a bear.

It's fine as a experiment I guess, I will like to see it finished and working :)

If you jump while standing on a box, it jumps with you! 10/10

Anyway sane physics are overrated.

Good mood, and I liked the style of the game, but there wasn´t much to it, and the ending was a bit dissapointing

The animations could use some work. But the game looked nice.

very atmospheric intro. snesgaard put it in the most druidic way: "If you jump while standing on a box, it jumps with you!" It is the druids way, if you jump on both boxes and then jump, the music also stops :D

Nice graphics. I was somehow able to poke the guy standing on the top ledge of the tree, and he just kind of moved left forever. I think I won.

Good luck with your engine!

That's a really cool idea for a mechanic! Despite being so short and more of a demo, I dug the gloomy moonlit mood and the silhouette art. More forms and levels and you've got yourself a winner. Nice job.

Didn't seem to be a goal in the game, but I like the art. (Though the animations could use some work :P)

It got a nice feeling! I hope you'll keep on working with the mechanics, would love to play a full game with that atmosphere.

Well, with a story and a little gameplay this could be great, the idea of changing on the shadows is pretty good, you could do some great puzzles, want to see more!

Others have already said everything there is to say. Good luck on your engine project.

The first transformation is a great, GREAT surprise!
It's a bit unsettling that there isn't a second one. I really think it was a really cool concept and the mood was just here!
A short scenario, a short story, without any "gameplay" could have done the trick!
