Steve's Adventure
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello Ludum Dare! This is my second time participating and I had a very limited amount of time to work with this time unfortunently, so the game isn't very actionpacked. It is a simple Platform Jumper game where you need to flee from the explosion of a nuclear bomb, you can win by reaching the green flag at the top of the level!

CONTROLS:
A - Move left
D - Move right
Spacebar - Jump

Press spacebar twice to doublejump!

Leaving the viewport will teleport the player to the opposite side! Use this ability to overcome obstacles.

RECOMMENDED RESOLUTION: 848 x 480
ASPECT RATIO: 16:9

The concept of runing(jumping) away from a nuke is nice. However the double jump was realy strange. Sometimes you jumped realy far on your second jump and sometimes bearly at all.

That you can double jump is NOT very obvious at all. I was trying all kinds of silly stuff to get even to the third platform. The idea of running against the clock is cool though!

Congratulations on completing the Dare! I will be frank with comments because I think they would be more useful. Difficulty curve could be easier to start with. Penalty for missing jumps is rather high, especially in earlier levels. Double jump physics are a bit counterintuitive. Nuke kills too fast.

The music is annoying after some time, and I find it too hard, the ground is very slippery, but I loved the art and the idea :D

Overall nice, but hard, and it didnt seem like the double jump was the same every time you used it. Good luck though!

The music was pretty bad. Some of the levels were impossible. Here's hoping you do better man.

Nice game, with a cool use of the theme.
The controls (the jump particularly) could be better but overall nice and entertaining!

I liked the art for the character sprite, and the music wasn't bad actually. Nuke passing you was a cool feature. The gameplay mechanics could have been more innovative. Also, not sure that a nuke's really an unconventional weapon.

The double jump was not very responsive, I couldn't get past the first few platforms :/
The music is great, though! :D
