Make It Rain by musasabi333

[raw]
made by musasabi333 for LD32 (JAM)
Make It Rain is a game about a rich guy bribing everything and everyone.

HOW TO PLAY:
- X to make it rain
- arrow keys to move

It is my first Ludum Dare game, and I couldn't finish it in time, but I still wanted to share my take on the theme with you.

Game done in Unity 5, buildings and money done in Photoshop.
Robot borrowed from Unity Standard Assets.

TODO:
- Add people to bribe
- Change the robot to be a rich guy
- Add sounds and music
- etc. :D

Thanks for trying it out!

Cool concept, are you thinking of continuing it after the jam?

Well, it isn't finished, but I'm intrigued by the concept - was the mechanic going to be bribing people to let you pass by raining money on them?
It seems to go on forever when you run to the right.
There are also no platforms to jump on (at least none I noticed), and the background pattern makes it a bit confusing..
Jumping feels very smooth, with the camera follow and all, so good job on that!

Your robot and the way it animates is beautiful I just don't understand the overall aim of the game and why he's throwing up a bunch of money. The robot was really
beautiful though!

Liked the concept. Really funny!

The initial money speed needs fixing; The speed is absolute and not relative to your movement speed. Just kidding :)

The concept is interesting, but the game is obviously too raw :(

@lizard455
Thanks a lot! Yes of course, I'm working on it right now! :D

@natalye
I loved my idea so much that I had to submit it, despite the game was not finished. :D Yes, you are correct, you would rain money and bribe people. The money is limited and you have to enter banks on the road to replenish money. The level is procedurally generated without any limitations, that's why it goes on forever. :D Thanks a lot for the feedback!

@hawksley
Thanks, but I can't take the praise, the robot was borrowed from Unity's Standard Asset Library. :D The aim of the game is that you are a rich guy (that will eventually replace the robot when I find time to draw him) who goes his way, bribing people (by throwing money at them) and dodging taxes and IRS agents. :)

@MGhareeb32
Thanks a bunch! Glad I made you laugh. I totally agree on the relative speed, I was also thinking about it. :D

For some reason the robot didn't render for me.

Anyway, I like the idea, but I really can't rate this high as there's actually nothing to do other than run around and press X.

You have GOT to streamline your game making process.

I get what you mean, but the game wasn't finished because I started working on it on the last day of the Jam. :D

If only I could really make it rain.
I'm always happy when it rains.

Don't be disheartened that you didn't finish; we have ALL been there.

There were a lot of graphic glitches and I wasn't sure where to go, but the sprite of the player was really good!
