made by Valon for LD32 (COMPO)
Hello!

This is my second LD ever and I am pretty happy that this time I actually finished my game which was my main goal. I went way smaller, maybe a bit too much tho because it didn't take me two full days.

The game goal is to get at the end of the level by defeating or escaping all of the "monsters". It takes place in a very dark place so listen to the sounds for more information about what is coming for you.

Each monster has a specific scream and another sound will play as long as monsters are hunting you.

Your weapon is powered by lights of 3 types and each type kills the monsters of the same color. Be cautious and react fast to win.

All the controls are in the title screen.

For the next LD I want to try to do at least some graphical stuff.

Thank you for checking this out!

Man, it so dark out there. I am glad you didn't have too much time for graphical stuff because than I would get scared.

Congrats on your finshed game. I even played it through to the end.
The mechanics are good. But the game needs more polish. The view distance is too short, most of the enemies are seen too late.

I was not sure what I was doing while playing this. The control is too delayed for me. But anyways this is a cool game with capsulas attacking you :D I bet you had fun making it!

It's different, I'll give you that! Couldn't figure out quite where I was going - FOV / perspective seems a bit odd, and the mouse is way too sensitive!

The concept is nice, but not very well developed. The controls are plain annoying, the atmosphere is nice, but not very immersive and the game is overall mediocre. I still give you credit though, because you did it all in 48 hours.

Glad that the monsters were just shapes or else i would have shit my pants! Fun game, graphics were functional, but the look controls felt odd. hard to describe, but it felt like resident evil 4 look controls, but i was able to move.

Anyway, good entry, i had a lot of fun. Work on teh controls to get them to feel nicer and less floaty when walking.

Good mood setting. Was hard to navigate through, the camera settings felt a bit weird and I hated having to press e to pickup rather than just walking over; as well the range for picking up felt short, but otherwise, solid idea.

It's weird that you guy find the controls odd, this is basically the character controller from Unity.

But thank you for the comments, I am aware that the game would need a lot of work but I actually spent less than 24 hours on it probably.

Some mobs seem glitched and the last ones are op. Some feedback to know when we are at the right range to pick items would help, as well as some textures on the ground to "feel" movment. But good work anyway.

It's windows 64bit only :-(

Not sure why you exported only to windows, considering the project is done in Unity.

As for the game itself. Good music and nice sounds. Great concept with using different sounds for different monsters.

The character movement seemed too "floaty". The view distance is very short considering the movement speed of the player. It would be far better to increase viewing distance and maybe offset this by increasing the movement speed of the monsters. Also, as other pointed out, it was very hard to locate yourself on the map - adding some "random" shapes as doodads could help it a bit.

Man, I had never been that scared by giant pills and rectangles. I finished it though!
The ghostly clunk sounds from the monsters freaked me out.
Those floating rectangles were too fast to manage though.

Combat wasn't the most fun but on the whole a really excellent entry, really atmospheric sound!
