Backfire by Jean Phenix
Backfire is a shmup-inspired puzzle game. You must shoot the switch (which look like magneto's helmet) of a level to get to the next. In the last level, both brain must be shoot at the same time.
The game was made by three amateur game maker in about 13 hour of work. Moreover, we switch roles compared to our usual setup, so don't be too harsh.
There is bug which sometimes make a level to not work (objects don't move). Until we fix it, the only roundabout is to reload the game.

game mechanics are simple and they work, but it would be nice to have instructions for what to do in the game itself, and also it seems more like random shooting than actually figuring out puzzles. a way to keep track of points or levels would be nice too.

Once I worked out what was going on it was pretty cool. I'd like a lot more in the way of player feedback (sound, animation, vibration, etc.) just to keep me engaged. Cycling colour schemes between puzzles also would have helped keep things fresh.

I agree that it was tricky to figure out how to play at first, but it's a cool mechanic that I've not seen anywhere else.

I made it to the last level even though I keep getting the bug. I love the unusual setting and graphics in this game, as well as the experimental puzzle concept.
