Controls:
- arrows for moving the target
- SHIFT to move faster
- SPACE to fire
- ENTER to play a solo (when available)
Dependencies for Debian/Ubuntu:
sudo apt install liballegro5.0 liballegro-ttf5.0 liballegro-image5.0 liballegro-audio5.0 liballegro-acodec5.0
Changelog (dates in UTC):
- 0.1.3 (2015-04-25 18:05) - reworked input system to work the same way on all platforms
- 0.1.2 (2015-04-25 14:45) - added workaround for nasty Windows bug which could result in window being created outside of the screen with no ability to move it back; made yellow color in menu more yellow, as on some screens it was nearly indistinguishable from white
- 0.1.1 (2015-05-23 0:45) - Windows port now integrated into standard codebase
- 0.1.0-win32 (2015-04-23 4:30) - Windows port

Slept for half of Compo and missed its deadline, so it's in Jam instead :)

It's a bit too difficult though I think, the target does'nt move let and right fast enough, so if someone passes you it's almost impossible to get back in time to kill them.
Great job though, audio track is pretty sweet too.
Many things I like about this one, but mainly 3 (the more moodish ones!)
- THE GUITAR SOLO!!
- The little riff when you close the Window
- THE GUITAR SOLO!!!!
Great work!

One minor issue is that on the main menu it was hard to see which option was selected, the yellow text marking an option as selected looked extremely similar to the white text of every other option unless you were looking carefully.
Keep up the good work! :D
I like the lightning effect and the sound :)
The challenge ramps up faster than your cursor can react to that. I'm not a fan of the discrete hops it does, especially when Shifting, just feels clunky to control. It's a letdown that the most crucial way of interacting has an unpolished air to it, when the rest of the experience has attention to detail.
You weren't, they do :)
I like the funny concept and the solo and the rush :)
and I liked the About page :D
and the exit sound was a nice touch :)
I just feel that the hit radius needs to increase a little bit, a very small delay could lead to me missing the target and keep following him all the way to the left and wasting a lot of time :D
Oh and thanks for testing the Linux build for our game ;-)
Didn't enjoy the control scheme, would have preferred something where you could just steer the cursor around instead of having a step based system where one key press is a single step with shift making it like 3 or something.
Good graphics, good audio, good humor, I dunno why a cow was there.
Well done!
Your game really feels like a perfect compo entry. It has a lot of character, because you made everything yourself, even including the guitar stuff. What your game may lack in gameplay, it makes up for in the original interpretation of the theme. Overall, I like it a lot :)
You clearly have some talent for drawing (I also like the clouds! very DoTT-like :)), I wish the art style was more consistent throughout the game.
