Beyond the Glass by CodeCracked

[raw]
made by CodeCracked for LD36 (JAM)
This is my first Ludum Dare Game. It is based on the theme of the ancient technology of the maze. Throughout the game, you are in a strange room that seams to change and bend where you cannot see. The player must figure out how to play the game themselves.

This game was made with a simple engine I am developing myself, that I call CryoEngine. The game was very insightful while developing it. As this is my first game, I do not expect it to be the best, I just wanted to hear what others have to say on it.

The download comes with two versions, the Windows version, which is packed with the Java Runtime Environment, and the Cross Platform version, where you must download the Java Runtime Environment separately.

#LDJAM

REQUIREMENTS:
Java JRE 8 - Cross Platform version only

Hi, nice game and congratulations ! Simple mechanics that still offered a decent amount of challenge. We're realizing a video with several games of the Ludum Dare #36. We made the same thing at the previous jam.

Can you add your game on indiexpo.net ? (it's free)
So we can include also your game in the video ;)
p.s. write #LDJAM in the game's description.

Cool game really like the changing environments, but that lights puzzle was way too tough. Look forward to a 2D Antichamber with more puzzles!

thanks man, means a lot. Definitely going to be expanding on this. Antichamber is one of my favorite games. I thought the light puzzle might be to hard, but I didn't have time to replace it.

Enjoyed. got a bit of Antichamber vibe. Maybe making the lights out room a bit clear coulve helped. I know It was about solving yourself but I really stuck like. Should I turn these on or off? Great game for a first LD. Coding that LoS is hard. Keep up the good work!

Cool mechanics, really nice technically with the fog-of-war and the non-Euclidean stuff. Solved the light puzzle and the maze and got kind of lost in the third area. Seems like the kind of game where I should have started drawing out maps, I wasn't motivated enough though, haha.

Very pretty shadows, I like it.

If you add story, scripts and graphics, you can release it on Steam :)
