What do you mean "brought it bowling"? - A "The Big Lebowski" themed game.
EDIT: Uploaded a version that doesn't require installation.
The weapon is a bowling ball and your fighting off attacking Pomeranian's. Your White Russians will be knocked off by the Pomeranian's when all five are gone its game over.
This was going to be entered onto the Compo but my girlfriend helped out by doing the art work so we entered it into the Jam instead.
This is my first game jam and first complete(ish) game. I would welcome feedback particularly on the structure of my code if anyone takes the time to look at it.
Tools:
- Visual Studio 2013
- C# / MonoGame / XNA
- MS Paint
- Paint.NET

The graphics were decent, better than the 2 pixel thin quickly made sprites, but I also couldn't tell what the thing was that you are hitting with bowling balls.
I think it would of been more enjoyable with some sound.
(Side note: I will say that having to "install" is a big turn-off for a Ludum Dare game. I understand it considering the tools you used to write it, but maybe consider something that deploys to web for Ludum Dare)
I made only 42 in the first and 100 in the second. I think I can do better! (I'll see the source code later ;) )
I had to get used to the fact that the ball launched from the right side of the character. Obvious, given the nature of bowling, but my gamer brain kept expect the ball to emanate from the center of the character. Maybe if the character was actually visibly holding a ball on the right side my brain wouldn't have been so stubborn.
