Rando Shmup by HazeAI
A horizontally scrolling shoot em up game with randomly generated weapons on both sides. Weapons are generated from a pool of available graphics and patterns, with random bullet size and speed as well. Players bullets do collide with enemies, but enemy bullets don't collide with players yet. There is also no win/lose conditions.
Controls:
Space bar to start game and shoot
Tab re-randomizes your weapon
Arrow keys moves player
If you re-randomize enough times the game slows down, refresh if this happens. The enemies weapons are random as well so you'll get new enemies on each refresh.
This was the work of a 3 man team and is our first LD submission!

Not bad for your first submission, the fact that enemy bullets don't kill the player sort of defeats the purpose of the game tho. That part is something you really should have focused on. So next time, when it becomes obvious that you only have very few hours left to complete the game, work on the most essential features that make it a viable game.

Lots of particles on screen which is cool. The collission detection seemed a little off as I could hit enemies but their bullets rarely hit me. So there was no real challenge on thus no real game. But a good start. Not too unconventional a weapon though... bullets... :-)
